CARS24 is hiring an Evaluation Engineer to inspect and evaluate used cars for purchase across retail, auction, and C2C channels. You will perform thorough inspections, record findings via the company inspection app, and help determine fair pricing based on condition and market data.

The role requires a Diploma/ITI/Bachelor's in Automobile/Mechanical, driving licenses for two- and four-wheelers, and willingness to travel locally.

Qualifications

• Diploma/ITI/Bachelor's degree in Automobile, Mechanical Engineering, or related field (preferred).
• Good communication skills in local language plus basic Hindi/English.
• Valid two-wheeler/four-wheeler driving license and proficiency driving both vehicle types.
• Smartphone with willingness to use inspection apps/tools.
• Willingness to travel locally for field inspections.

Responsabilités

• Inspect and evaluate used cars for purchase (retail/auction/C2C) per leads/appointments.
• Conduct thorough vehicle inspections following SOPs with zero errors.
• Assess mechanical, cosmetic, structural condition and overall health of vehicles.
• Record findings in the inspection app/tool and upload data accurately.
• Determine fair market valuation/price recommendation based on inspection results.
• Explain inspection findings and pricing to customers clearly and professionally.
• Maintain daily visit/inspection targets and complete leads on time.
• Travel to customer locations within and around the city/region for inspections.
• Coordinate with sales/procurement to close deals.

Role Summary

The Evaluation Engineer is responsible for the physical inspection and evaluation of used cars for purchase through retail, auction, or C2C (consumer-to-consumer) transactions ensuring accuracy, consistency, and adherence to CARS24's evaluation standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Inspect and evaluate used cars for purchase (retail/auction/C2C) as per assigned leads/appointments.
• Conduct thorough vehicle inspections with zero errors, strictly following the company's Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).
• Assess mechanical condition, cosmetic condition, structural integrity, and overall vehicle health.
• Use the CARS24 inspection app/tool to record inspection findings and upload data accurately.
• Determine a fair market valuation/price recommendation based on inspection results.
• Explain inspection findings and pricing to customers in a clear, professional manner.
• Maintain daily visit/inspection targets and ensure timely completion of assigned leads.
• Travel to customer locations within and around the assigned city/region for inspections.
• Coordinate with the sales/procurement team to close deals.

Requirements

• Diploma/ITI/Bachelor's degree in Automobile, Mechanical Engineering, or related field (preferred).
• Basic knowledge of vehicle mechanics, engine systems, and car components.
• Prior experience in vehicle inspection, automobile service, or a similar field is an advantage.
• Valid two-wheeler/four-wheeler driving license.
• Candidate should be proficient in driving both two-wheelers and four-wheelers.
• Smartphone with willingness to use inspection apps/tools.
• Good communication skills (local language + basic Hindi/English).
• Willingness to travel locally for field visits.
