Job summary

Alignerr is seeking an Urdu Language Expert (AI Training) to review and improve AI-generated Urdu content, ensuring naturalness, accuracy and cultural relevance for real Urdu speakers.

You will work remotely on an hourly contract, with flexible hours (10–40 hours/week) and independent, asynchronous collaboration. No prior AI experience required, but sharp language judgment is essential.

• Native or near-native fluency in Urdu.
• Strong written Urdu skills.
• Good command of contemporary Urdu usage.
• Detail-oriented with a methodical approach.
• Comfort evaluating written language quality across topics.
• No prior AI or tech experience required.

Responsibilities

What You'll Do

• Review AI-generated Urdu translations and original content for accuracy and naturalness
• Identify mistranslations, unnatural phrasing, register mismatches, and cultural issues
• Suggest clear, idiomatic, and culturally appropriate improvements
• Provide structured, detailed feedback on linguistic and cultural quality
• Work independently and asynchronously — fully on your own schedule

Who You Are

• Native or near-native fluency in Urdu
• Strong written communication skills in Urdu
• Solid command of contemporary Urdu usage across different contexts and registers
• Naturally detail-oriented with a consistent, methodical approach
• Comfortable evaluating written language quality across a variety of topics
• No prior AI or tech experience

Nice to Have

• Experience in translation, localization, editing, or linguistics
• Familiarity with AI tools or language evaluation workflows
• Knowledge of regional Urdu variations or related language influences
• Background in communications, education, journalism, or content review
