GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF ROLE:

The UI/UX Senior Designer leads the design of intuitive, accessible, and brand-aligned digital experiences for proposal, presentation, and client-facing delivery needs. This role applies strong UI/UX expertise to translate complex business requirements into effective digital experiences, including user flows, wireframes, prototypes, interface layouts, and design system components. The role works with a high degree of independence, partners with cross-functional stakeholders, resolves varied design challenges, and supports consistency, usability, and quality across complex digital deliverables.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

User Experience and Research

• Lead discovery and interpretation of stakeholder and user requirements for moderately complex digital design assignments
• Develop user flows, information architecture, wireframes, and prototypes that clarify user needs, content priorities, and interaction models
• Apply usability principles, accessibility standards, research insights, and stakeholder feedback to improve clarity, navigation, and overall user experience

Interface Design and Prototyping

• Create polished UI concepts, screen layouts, components, and interactive prototypes that align with Aon brand and design standards
• Translate complex content, graphics, workflows, and proposal narratives into clear, scalable, and user-friendly digital experiences
• Prepare detailed design specifications, annotations, and handoff materials to support implementation, production, or stakeholder review

Collaboration and Delivery

• Partner with design managers, proposal teams, developers, and business stakeholders to define requirements, recommend design approaches, and deliver aligned solutions
• Prioritize projects, manage multiple concurrent UI/UX and design deliverables, and balance quality, timelines, SLA expectations, and stakeholder needs
• Lead design reviews, usability feedback sessions, and iteration cycles, incorporating input to strengthen final outputs

Technology and AI Enablement

• Build, maintain, and apply reusable design patterns, templates, and components to improve consistency and efficiency across digital deliverables
• Leverage workflow tools including Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, Monday.com, and approved design platforms to manage visibility, version control, collaboration, and delivery records
• Use approved AI tools responsibly to accelerate research synthesis, concept exploration, prototyping, and checklist-based quality control while following governance and confidentiality requirements

SKILLS/COMPETENCIES REQUIRED:

• Proficient understanding of user-centered design, interaction design, visual hierarchy, usability, responsive design, accessibility, and design system principles
• Ability to create user flows, wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity interface layouts for moderately complex assignments
• Proficient with modern design and prototyping tools such as Figma and/or equivalent platforms
• Ability to translate complex business, proposal, or workflow requirements into clear, usable, and brand-aligned digital experiences
• Strong working knowledge of responsive design, accessibility best practices, design systems, component-based design, and scalable interface patterns
• Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft 365 applications, especially PowerPoint, Word, Teams, SharePoint, and OneDrive
• Clear and confident communication skills to explain design rationale, ask focused questions, provide status updates, influence recommendations, and collaborate effectively with stakeholders
• Ability to work collaboratively with multi-disciplinary global teams, including design, proposal, development, and stakeholder groups
• Demonstrated ability to prioritize projects, manage multiple deliverables, and balance quality, deadlines, SLA expectations, and stakeholder priorities
• Ability to receive, incorporate, and respond to feedback while also guiding iteration decisions and maintaining usability, visual quality, brand compliance, and delivery standards
• Sound judgment in the compliant use of workflow tools and approved AI to improve research, design iteration, quality control, knowledge sharing, and reusable learning documentation
