About the Role

We are looking for a UI Technical Lead to drive the design, development, and evolution of our front-end applications. You will work closely with UX designers, backend engineers, and product managers to translate business requirements into intuitive and engaging user experiences. This role requires strong hands-on expertise, technical leadership, and a passion for building modern web applications.

Experience

• Minimum of 5-10 years of experience in front-end web development with a strong focus on user interfaces.
• At least 2 years of experience in a technical leadership or lead developer role, managing a team or mentoring junior developers.
• Strong experience with React, Vue.js, Angular, or similar modern front-end frameworks.
• Familiarity with UI testing tools like Jest, Mocha, or Cypress.

Technical Skills

• Strong understanding of UI/UX design principles, focusing on delivering intuitive, user-centered experiences.
• Experience working with RESTful APIs and integrating front-end applications with back-end systems.
• Knowledge of version control systems, notably Git and Git-based workflows.
• Familiarity with design systems and component libraries (e.g., Material UI, Bootstrap).

Key Responsibilities

• Technical Leadership & Strategy: Lead the front-end/UI development efforts, including architecture, implementation, and maintenance of user interfaces across platforms; define and enforce coding standards, design patterns, and best practices to ensure code quality and maintainability; provide technical mentorship and code reviews to junior and mid-level developers.
• Collaboration with Cross-Functional Teams: Work closely with UX/UI designers to translate design concepts into functional, high-quality code; partner with backend developers to integrate front-end functionality with server-side logic and APIs; collaborate with product managers to understand user requirements and translate them into actionable development tasks; lead the design and development of reusable UI components and patterns for consistency and scalability; maintain UI performance and responsive design across devices; stay current with latest UI technologies and best practices.
• Code Quality & Best Practices: Conduct code reviews to ensure high quality, maintainability, and scalability; implement automated tests (unit, integration, and end-to-end); continuously improve development workflows with modern front-end tooling and version control practices.
• Problem Solving & Innovation: Propose and adopt new front-end technologies or solutions to improve product performance, usability, or development efficiency.
• Documentation & Knowledge Sharing: Maintain clear documentation for UI components and workflows; share knowledge through technical sessions, mentoring, and fostering a collaborative learning environment.
• AI-Assisted Development: Use AI coding assistants to speed up development while maintaining high engineering standards; review, validate, and harden AI-generated code; define team guidelines for AI usage; create reusable prompts and templates to accelerate common UI tasks; use AI to assist debugging with verified fixes.
• Stakeholder Communication: Communicate effectively with product owners, designers, and other engineering teams to ensure alignment of features and technical requirements; provide technical guidance to ensure stakeholder vision is realized in the final product.

Education

• Bachelor's degree / Master's in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent practical experience).
