Overview
We’re seeking someone to join our team as (Director) UI Developer to join our Enterprise Search team. You will play a key role in designing and building intuitive, dynamic, and secure user interfaces that deliver exceptional experiences to thousands of enterprise users. This role requires both hands-on technical expertise and leadership ability to mentor and guide junior developers while collaborating closely with backend, DevOps, and product teams.
What You’ll Do In The Role
- Lead and contribute to the design, development, and deployment of enterprise-scale search UI applications.
- Build responsive, reactive, and dynamic UIs that provide seamless user experience across devices.
- Develop reusable, maintainable, and secure components using Angular, React, and modern frontend frameworks.
- Leverage CSS frameworks (Bootstrap, Angular Material, Tailwind CSS) to deliver scalable and clean UI designs.
- Implement and defend against common frontend security vulnerabilities (XSS, CSRF, clickjacking, etc.).
- Work with containerized deployments (Docker/Kubernetes) for scalable application delivery.
- Collaborate with backend engineers, especially on Python full-stack integrations, to ensure smooth end-to-end functionality.
- Optimize UI performance for large datasets and high-traffic applications.
- Mentor junior developers and provide leadership in code reviews, design discussions, and best practices.
- Contribute to continuous improvement in UI/UX standards, automation, and DevOps workflows.
What You’ll Bring To The Role
- At least 4 years’ relevant experience would generally be expected to find the skills required for this role
- Experience in frontend/UI development.
- Strong hands-on skills in HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript (ES6+).
- Proven experience with Angular and React (at least one in-depth, the other working knowledge).
- Hands-on experience with Bootstrap, Angular Material, Tailwind CSS.
- Good understanding of Linux-based development environments and ability to read/debug code.
- Experience with container deployment (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Familiarity with UI security best practices and defensive coding.
- Strong understanding of reactive programming and building dynamic UIs.
- Leadership experience: mentoring peers, leading small teams, or guiding projects.
Good To Have (Preferred)
- Exposure to Python full-stack development (Django, Flask, or FastAPI).
- Experience with enterprise search UIs, information-heavy applications, or data visualization.
- Familiarity with design systems and accessibility standards (WCAG, ARIA).
- Knowledge of Spacy UI (or similar interactive UI patterns).
