Job summary

Withum is expanding its Transfer Pricing practice in Bengaluru, inviting seasoned professionals to lead end-to-end TP engagements for multinational clients. You will collaborate with US and regional teams, ensuring accurate documentation and strategic tax planning aligned with global guidelines.

Ideal candidates bring 5–10 years of TP experience, strong communication, and the ability to work across time zones, delivering high-quality client deliverables and mentoring juniors.

Qualifications

• CA/ MBA or related degree in economics, accounting, business, finance, math or stats.
• Experience in Consulting or Professional Services preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with client management experience.
• Ability to work across different time zones and cultures.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end transfer pricing engagements including planning, execution, review, and delivery of documentation and planning memos.
• Evaluate intercompany transfers of goods, intangibles, services, and loans; perform financial statement analysis for multinationals and domestic firms.
• Apply US 482 TP regulations, OECD guidelines, BEPS actions, and local country rules.
• Conduct comparable company searches using Capital IQ, ktMINE, and Withum’s TP model.
• Conduct functional interviews with clients to ensure high quality deliverables—reports, docs, and client presentations.
• Act as key point of contact for clients and internal stakeholders across geographies.
• Drive engagements independently, manage timelines, and identify risks and improvement areas.
• Support business development through proposals, opportunity IDs, and thought leadership.
• Mentor junior team members and demonstrate understanding of transfer pricing concepts.

How You’ll Spend Your Time:

• Lead end-to-end transfer pricing engagements, including planning, execution, review, and delivery of documentation and planning studies, and benchmarking memos.
• Evaluating intercompany transfers of tangible goods, intangible property, services, and loans and conducting financial statement analysis of multinational and domestic corporations.
• Apply and interpret U.S. 482 transfer pricing regulations, OECD guidelines, BEPS action plans, and other local country rules.
• Conducting both U.S. and foreign comparable company searches using Capital IQ database, ktMINE, and Withum’s proprietary transfer pricing analysis model.
• Conduct functional interviews on client engagements and ensure high quality and technical accuracy of all deliverables, including reports, documentation, and client presentations.
• Act as a key point of contact for clients and internal stakeholders across multiple geographies.
• Drive engagements independently, manage timelines, and proactively identify risks and improvement areas.
• Support business development through proposal support, opportunity identification, and thought leadership articles.
• Mentor and review work of junior team members, contributing to team capability building and demonstrating an understanding of transfer pricing concepts and method application.
• Integrate within the firm working with other staff members/managers/leaders across teams demonstrating team leadership.

Requirements

• 5-10 years of Transfer Pricing Experience in a Big 4, consulting firm, or multinational environment.
• Chartered Accountant, MBA, Master’s/Bachelor’s degree in economics, Accounting, Business, Finance, Mathematics, Statistics or related field.
• Experience in a Consulting or Professional Services practice preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience in client management and report writing.
• Ability to work across different time zones and cultures, adapting style as necessary.
• Strong numerical, analytical; strategic thinking and project management skills.
• Strong research and computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and transfer pricing software and technology.
