Job summary

FirstRand Limited, a leading financial services group, seeks an Infrastructure Finance Transactor in India to analyse opportunities, support credit risk processes and coordinate with clients and internal teams to structure funding solutions.

The ideal candidate holds a relevant degree with at least 3 years' experience in infrastructure finance or investment banking, and is prepared to work in a collaborative, governance-driven environment focused on deal execution and value delivery.

Responsibilities

  • Understand key competitors, global trends, sector dynamics and macro environmental forces to analyse Product/Sector-wide opportunities and challenges.
  • Assess client performance trends, debt profile and cash flows to support differentiated funding solutions.
  • Contribute to deal monitoring, covenant management and timely client communications.
  • Support deal execution through due diligence, documentation, governance forums and schedule coordination.
  • Develop pricing/projection models and scenario analyses for risk/return parameters.

Are You Someone Who Can: Understand key competitors, global trends, sector dynamics and key macro environmental forces to analyse Product/Sector-wide opportunities and challenges Understand the critical micro-environmental impacts and relationships i.e. client performance trends, financial data, debt profile, gearing, projected cash flows, operations to support differentiated funding solutions e.g. off-shore opportunities, acquisition and empowerment financing Understand and stay close to the needs, demands, perceptions and lending behaviours of clients to ensure successful deal support/enablement. This includes undertaking research to enable targeted origination planning for potential clients and strategic partners Support the on-going monitoring of the deal which may include: covenant breaches and late payments Support solutioning approaches where considerations will include: client requirements, regulations, internal risk frameworks, pricing, term and funding mechanisms Build pricing/projection models and “what if” scenarios that are integrated and bespoke in order to establish the risk and reward parameters. Contribute to the attainment of the Business Unit budget by supporting transactions to enable enhanced revenue growth. Support and facilitate credit risk processes/ forums to mitigate against credit risk exposure. This includes support of deal and client due diligence processes, preparation of required documentation, attendance at credit and legal approval processes and other governance forums. Support projects and complete allocated tasks to ensure successful transaction implementation. This includes allocating sufficient time to complete work, understanding inter-dependencies across teams, following up on client queries and suggesting changes to the schedule to enable the achievement of transaction objectives. Display a working knowledge of relevant systems and interdependencies between these systems.
