For our MIT College of Railway Engineering and Research, Barshi, Solapur location we are hiring Training and Placement Coordinator and expect the below from the candidate.

The Training & Placement Coordinator is responsible for planning, organizing, and executing student training and placement activities, building strong industry relationships, and ensuring maximum employability of students through structured skill development, internships, and campus recruitment programs.

Key Responsibilities
1. Student Training & Employability Development
  • Design and implement training programs to enhance students’ employability skills including:
  • Communication skills
  • Aptitude & reasoning
  • Technical/domain readiness
  • Interview preparation & soft skills
  • Coordinate with internal faculty and external trainers for workshops, certifications, and skill-based programs.
  • Identify training needs department-wise and batch-wise.
  • Organize pre-placement talks, mock interviews, and group discussions.
  • Maintain student placement readiness records.
2. Placement Activities
  • Plan and execute campus placement drives, pool campus drives, and virtual hiring events.
  • Coordinate with recruiters for job roles, eligibility criteria, selection processes, and offers.
  • Ensure smooth execution of recruitment schedules, interviews, and assessments.
  • Track placement data including offers, packages, and joining status.
  • Support students during final placement and onboarding processes.
3. Corporate Relations & Industry Engagement
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with:
  • Corporate organizations
  • Industry associations
  • Startups and MSMEs
  • Identify new placement opportunities and internship tie‑ups.
  • Sign and manage MoUs with industry partners.
  • Invite industry experts for guest lectures, seminars, and mentorship programs.
  • Promote institution branding among recruiters and corporate partners.
4. Internship & Industry Exposure
  • Facilitate internships, live projects, and industrial training for students.
  • Coordinate with departments to align internships with curriculum requirements.
  • Track internship completion and collect employer feedback.
5. Data Management & Reporting
  • Maintain accurate placement records, student databases, and recruiter details.
  • Prepare placement reports for:
  • Management
  • NAAC / NBA / UGC / AICTE compliance
  • Analyze placement trends and suggest improvement strategies.
6. Collaboration & Coordination
  • Work closely with:
  • Academic departments
  • Faculty coordinators
  • Student placement committees
  • Support institutional events such as job fairs, conclaves, and alumni meets.
  • Guide students on career paths, higher education, and professional certifications.
7. Administrative Responsibilities
  • Maintain documentation related to placements and training activities.
  • Ensure discipline, professionalism, and ethical conduct during recruitment processes.
  • Support accreditation, audits, and inspections related to placements.
Qualifications & Experience
Educational Qualification:
  • MBA / PGDM / Master’s Degree in HR, Management, or related field
  • Additional certifications in training, HR, or career development preferred
Experience:
