Academic & Classroom Delivery
- Curriculum Planning: Develop and execute comprehensive, age-appropriate lesson plans aligned with the ICSE board curriculum.
- Conceptual Teaching: Deliver engaging lectures on biological concepts, botany, zoology, and human anatomy using modern teaching methodologies and visual aids.
- Laboratory Management: Organize and conduct regular practical sessions in the biology lab, ensuring strict adherence to safety protocols during experiments and dissections.
- Smart Board Integration: Utilize digital tools, interactive simulations, and multi-media presentations to make complex biological processes easy to understand.
Student Assessment & Development
- Evaluation: Design worksheets, assignments, quizzes, and periodic test papers to evaluate student progress.
- Performance Tracking: Maintain accurate academic records and provide constructive feedback to students to help them improve.
- Remedial Support: Identify slow learners or students struggling with scientific concepts and conduct extra remedial classes to support them.
- Exam Preparation: Prepare secondary school students thoroughly for board examinations and school-level science competitive exams.
Administrative & Co-curricular Duties
- Parent-Teacher Communication: Participate actively in Parent-Teacher Meetings (PTMs) to discuss student growth, behavior, and academic performance.
- Science Events: Organize and lead school science exhibitions, science fairs, nature clubs, and educational field trips.
- Proxy & Invigilation: Fulfill general school administrative duties, including class teacher responsibilities, substitution classes, and examination invigilation.
- Professional Development: Attend workshops, seminars, and training sessions mandated by the school or educational boards to stay updated with modern teaching trends.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Educational Qualification: Bachelors/Masters Degree in Science (B.Sc./M.Sc. in Biology/Botany/Zoology) combined with a Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) from a recognized university.
- Eligibility Test: Clearing CTET / UP TET is highly preferred.
- Experience: 2-5 years of proven teaching experience as a TGT Science/Biology teacher in a reputed school.
- Soft Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English, strong classroom management abilities, and a patient, approachable demeanour.
