Role Description
Treasury at Deutsche Bank is responsible for the sourcing, management and optimization of liquidity and capital to deliver high value risk management decisions. This is underpinned by a best‑in‑class integrated and consistent Treasury risk framework, which enables Treasury to clearly identify the Bank’s resource demands, transparently set incentives by allocating resource costs to businesses and manage evolving regulation.
Treasury’s fiduciary mandate encompasses the Bank’s funding pools, asset and liability management (ALM) and fiduciary buffer management, supporting businesses in delivering on strategic targets at global and local levels. Treasury optimises all financial resources to implement the group’s strategic objective and maximise long‑term return on average tangible shareholders’ equity (RoTE). The current role is part of Treasury Office in DBC Mumbai and requires interactions with key hubs: London, New York, Frankfurt and Singapore.
Function Description
- Treasury Markets and Investments bundles all of Treasury’s market‑based activities and includes the Debt Issuance function.
- The Debt Issuance function ensures optimal term funding by issuing debt securities in the global capital markets, maintaining appropriate presence across market segments, a diverse investor base and avoiding excess maturity concentrations.
- It also includes ensuring securities are properly booked and risk‑managed on an ongoing basis.

Your key responsibilities
- Run and develop curve‑generation models, pricing models, hedging and risk‑management tools.
- Support debt issuance in all aspects of arranging funding and hedging, and maintain a legacy structured note book.
- Capture and manage trade life cycles in Kondor, Summit, iTAP, Bloomberg, FO3DG, QTE and RMS.
- Support Market Risk, P&L and issuance reporting, including sign‑off for risk and P&L reports.
- Participate in strategic change projects such as IBOR transition, strategic risk and booking model projects (e.g., Kannon migration).
- Act as a backup for the existing Mumbai‑based Issuance team member and work in a finance team.
- Collaborate with Treasury Finance and Global Valuation Group on financial and valuation topics.
- Manage Product Governance (NPA, NTA) for new Deutsche Bank debt products.
Your skills and experience
- Bachelor’s or Master’s level education, ideally in Finance or a quantitative discipline.
- Derivatives pricing and risk‑management expertise.
- Experience with quantitative finance concepts, trading desk support or related roles.
- Technical background with data‑modeling experience.
- Strong analytical, problem‑solving, written, verbal and presentation skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and advanced Excel.
- Experience in VBA/Python (good to have).
- Independent work capability.
- Understanding of a bank’s Treasury funding costs, liquidity management and financial resources (good to have).
- Ability to interface with demanding stakeholders and coordinate activities across teams and time zones.
