Job summary

Clairvolex Inc. is seeking a paralegal to handle trademark searches, filings, and document management. The role involves liaising with agents, reporting on prosecution steps, and updating stakeholders on multi-jurisdiction matters.

Ideal candidates have 2–4 years IP experience and a bachelor's degree. Law backgrounds are not required. Strong organizational and communication skills are essential to manage complex trademark workflows.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in any subject; law background candidates need not apply.
• 2–4 years minimum IP/paralegal experience.
• Experience with law firms and trademark prosecution preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive trademark searches and prepare search reports.
• Prepare and file Trademark applications, renewals & recordals.
• Review and prepare draft reports on acceptance, conditional acceptance, publications, Registration certificates, renewals and recordals.
• Process publication and registration fee payments with the trademark office (Non-India).
• Communicate with agents during trademark prosecution in multiple jurisdictions.
• Upload and organize documents in the Document Management System with proper naming conventions.
• Send well organized Report Out emails to relevant stakeholders.
• Prepare boiler plate report outs for opposition documents.
• Comprehending, preparing and filing complex recordal matters – assignments, license, change of name/address.
• Communicate updates and insights across stages of trademark prosecution.

Job Summary:

The role entails conducting trademark searches, filing applications, processing fees, and managing documents. It requires liaising with agents, report out of prosecution/opposition documents, and updating stakeholders.

Each Clairvolex client brings novel and diverse searches and filings as our work assignment. Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and expertise in trademark prosecution are essential to fulfil the responsibilities effectively.

Job Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive trademark searches and prepare both simple and detailed search reports.
• Prepare and file Trademark applications, renewals & recordals.
• Review and prepare draft reports on acceptance, conditional acceptance, publications, Registration certificates, renewals and recordals.
• Process publication and registration fee payments with the trademark office (Non-India) promptly and accurately.
• Communicate with agents during Trademarks prosecution in multiple jurisdictions.
• Upload and organize documents in the Document Management System using proper naming conventions and client-specific requirements.
• Send well organized “Report Out” emails to relevant stakeholders.
• Submission and report out of opposition documents- preparation of boiler plate report outs.
• Comprehending, preparing and filing complex recordal matters - assignments, recordal of change of name and address, license, merger etc
• Communicate consistently with stakeholders to provide updates and insights across the various stages of trademark prosecution.

Qualification for the position:

Education

• The position requires an experienced paralegal with experience working with a law firm.
• Bachelor’s degree in any subject.
• Law background candidates need not apply.

Experience

The position requires a minimum of two (2) years and maximum four (4) years of relevant IP experience.
