Job summary

Grow Your Staff is seeking a Senior Trademark Attorney for a full-time remote consultant role. You will oversee end-to-end trademark prosecution, including clearance searches, filing strategies, and registrations.

The candidate should have 10+ years of experience, an LL.B. with a commercial/corporate focus, and strong legal research, drafting, and portfolio-management skills for domestic and international matters.

Qualifications

• LL.B. with a specialization in commercial, corporate, business laws, or a related field.
• Proven 10+ years of experience handling trademark prosecution matters, including trademark clearance, filing strategies, and obtaining trademark registrations.
• Strong experience conducting trademark clearance searches and preparing legal opinions on trademark availability and registrability.
• Demonstrated expertise in drafting and responding to office actions and managing trademark prosecution through registration.
• Experience managing domestic and international trademark portfolios is highly preferred.
• Excellent legal research, analytical, drafting, and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple matters simultaneously while maintaining exceptional attention to detail.
• Proficiency with trademark docketing systems, legal research tools, Google Workspace, and Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end trademark prosecution matters, including trademark clearance searches, filing strategies, and obtaining trademark registrations.
• Conduct comprehensive trademark availability and clearance searches, analyse search results, and provide legal opinions on registrability and potential risks.
• Prepare, file, and prosecute trademark applications before relevant trademark offices, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
• Draft and respond to office actions, examiner objections, and other trademark-related correspondence throughout the prosecution process.
• Maintain and manage trademark portfolios, including renewals, deadlines, recordals, and ongoing portfolio strategy.
• Advise clients on trademark protection strategies, brand clearance, and enforcement considerations across multiple jurisdictions.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to support trademark-related legal matters and ensure timely completion of filings and registrations.
• Stay up to date with trademark laws, regulations, and best practices, providing practical legal guidance to support business objectives.

Time: 12:30 pm-9:30 pm (Monday-Friday)
