Job summary

The Corporate Institute in Bengaluru seeks an experienced Trade Surveillance Consultant with deep Financial Markets product knowledge and hands-on experience in surveillance processes and systems.

Responsibilities include defining surveillance requirements across FX, rates, commodities, credit, and equities, and supporting data mapping, data flows, and rule-based solutions in Agile environments. Collaboration with global teams and use of LLMs for documentation are expected.

Qualifications

• Experience in trade surveillance processes and systems (SMARTS/MAST).
• Strong Capital Markets product knowledge across asset classes.

Responsibilities

• Work with business and technology stakeholders to define and implement Trade Surveillance requirements.
• Apply strong Financial Markets product knowledge across asset classes including FX, Rates, Commodities, Credit, and Equities.
• Support trade surveillance processes and systems such as SMARTS and MAST.
• Analyze and document market abuse scenarios, surveillance requirements, and rule-based solutions.
• Develop and document data flows, data mappings, data linkages, and migration requirements.
• Analyze the complete Trade / Order / Quote lifecycle and identify relevant surveillance requirements.
• Work closely with technology and business teams to translate surveillance requirements into functional and technical specifications.
• Support data mapping and linkage across multiple source systems and asset classes.
• Collaborate with geographically distributed stakeholders and teams across global locations.
• Work in Agile delivery environments, participating in requirements, planning, refinement, and delivery activities.
• Leverage Large Language Models (LLMs) to support documentation, analysis, and other project activities.

Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced Trade Surveillance Consultant with strong Financial Markets (FM) product knowledge and hands‑on experience in trade surveillance processes and systems.

The ideal candidate should have strong Capital Markets domain expertise, a good understanding of market abuse scenarios, and experience working with globally distributed stakeholders and teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Work with business and technology stakeholders to define and implement Trade Surveillance requirements.
• Apply strong Financial Markets product knowledge across asset classes including FX, Rates, Commodities, Credit, and Equities.
• Support trade surveillance processes and systems such as SMARTS and MAST.

Required Skills & Experience

• Strong experience in Trade Surveillance with mandatory Financial Markets product knowledge.
• Hands‑on experience with trade surveillance processes and systems such as SMARTS and MAST.
• Strong understanding of market abuse scenarios and surveillance processes.
• Good Capital Markets knowledge across FX, Rates, Commodities, Credit, and Equities.
• Deep expertise in at least one asset class, with knowledge of trade valuation and risk concepts.
• Very good understanding of the Trade / Order / Quote lifecycle.
• Proven experience in data flow documentation, rule‑based solutions, data linkage/mapping, and data migration.
• Experience working with globally distributed stakeholders and teams.
• Experience working in Agile environments.
• Working knowledge of LLMs/GenAI tools for documentation and analysis activities.
• Strong analytical, communication, documentation, and stakeholder management skills
