Expertrons Delhi is seeking a Trade Operations Specialist to manage the full trade lifecycle across FX and commodity products, from capture to settlement and reconciliation. The role is based in Bangalore and requires you to work from the office Monday to Friday; relocation to Chennai is planned for 2027.

Candidates must be open to relocating to Chennai when the transition happens and should bring 3–5 years of experience in trade operations, settlements or reconciliations within global capital

• Working knowledge of FX products (Spot, Forward, Swap, NDF, Options) and commodity products.
• Understanding of the trade lifecycle, confirmation/matching and nostro/cash reconciliation.
• Graduate degree in Commerce, Finance, Economics or related field.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to meet strict cut-off times.

Responsibilities

• Trade Capture & Validation: Review trades by Front Office and ensure accurate capture in systems.
• Validate trade economics: dates, buy/sell, quantity, price, currency, counterparty, instrument, notional, fees, settlement instructions.
• Identify missing or incorrect data and coordinate with Front Office to correct.
• Process trades within required cut-off times.
• Monitor lifecycle: execution, capture, confirmation, matching, settlement, reconciliation.
• Coordinate with Front Office, brokers and operations for settlements.

Key Responsibilities

Trade Capture & Validation

• Review trades executed by Front Office teams and make sure they are captured accurately in trading and risk-management systems.
• Validate trade economics: trade and settlement dates, buy/sell indicator, quantity, price, currency, counterparty, instrument, notional value, brokerage/fees, and settlement instructions.
• Find incorrect, incomplete or missing trade data and work with Front Office or other teams to get it corrected.
• Process trades within the applicable cut-off times.

Trade Lifecycle Management

• Monitor trades through execution, capture, enrichment, confirmation/affirmation, matching, settlement, reconciliation and lifecycle events.
• Track outstanding trades and make sure they move through each lifecycle stage on time.
• Process amendments, cancellations, novations, allocations, rolls, exercises and expiries.
• Keep accurate records of trade status and exceptions.

Commodity & FX Operations

• Validate quantity, price, currency and delivery/settlement terms for commodity and FX trades.
• Process physical and cash-settled transactions.
• Monitor commodity trade confirmations and matching.
• Coordinate with Front Office, clearing brokers, exchanges and Operations teams.

Reconciliations

• Perform daily and periodic reconciliations of positions, cash and settlements across front-office trading systems, operations platforms, custodian records, broker statements, exchange/clearing records, nostro accounts, the general ledger and counterparty records.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience in trade operations, trade support, settlements or reconciliations at an investment bank, custodian bank or global capital markets operations centre.
• Working knowledge of FX products (Spot, Forward, Swap, NDF, Options) and commodity products (precious and base metals, energy, agricultural commodities, futures, forwards/swaps, options, OTC).
• A good grasp of the trade lifecycle, confirmation/matching processes and nostro/cash reconciliation.
• A graduate degree in Commerce, Finance, Economics or a related field.
• Strong attention to detail and comfort working against strict cut-off times.

Candidate Profile

• Immediate joiner, available to join before 30 October.
• Willing to relocate to Chennai in 2027 when the role moves.
• Comfortable working from the office five days a week (Monday to Friday).
• Hands-on with exception management and able to coordinate across Front Office, brokers and clearing houses.
