Role & responsibilities
To carry out detailed civil and structural design of steel and RCC structures for thermal power plant projects, ensuring design quality, compliance with standards, and effective coordination with multidisciplinary teams.
- Perform analysis and design of RCC and structural steel structures such as boiler foundations, turbine buildings, pipe racks, pump houses, equipment foundations, cooling water structures, and auxiliary buildings.
- Prepare and check design calculations, general arrangement drawings, and reinforcement/steel detailing.
- Support in developing design basis reports, material take-offs, and design notes.
- Perform structural modeling using STAAD.Pro, RCDC, or equivalent software.
- Ensure compliance with relevant codes and standards (IS 456, IS 800, IS 3370, IS 875, ACI, AISC, etc.).
Preferred candidate profile
- Sound knowledge of RCC and structural steel design principles.
- Hands‑on experience in STAAD.Pro, RCDC, AutoCAD, Revit exposure.
- Understanding of soil‑structure interaction, load combinations, and detailing practices.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities with good communication skills.
