Job summary

PRI INDIA IT SERVICES PRIVATE LIMITED seeks an experienced QA engineer to conduct testing of highly complex software applications in Bengaluru. The role involves understanding requirements, creating test plans, and executing test cases for planned releases, including manual and automation planning.

The candidate will work with Developers and Test Leads, maintain test documentation, track defects, and coordinate with teams to resolve issues, while applying best SDLC practices and ETL/SQL

Qualifications

• 4–6 years of testing experience in software applications.
• Experience in manual testing concepts and ETL domains is mandatory.
• Strong Oracle/SQL hands-on skills and defect tracking.

Responsibilities

• Test highly complex software applications under general supervision.
• Review requirements, create test plans, and contribute to test estimations.
• Plan, author and execute test cases for planned releases.
• Support iterations, track defects and report results; coordinate with team.
• Collaborate with Developers and Test Leads/managers; maintain docs.

• Under general supervision, conducts testing of highly complex software applications.
• Understands and reviews requirements, creates test plans and/or contributes to test estimations, -manual and automation planning.
• Performs test case planning, authoring and execution on planned releases.
• Supports and performs test iterations, defect tracking and reports test results, coordinates with team.
• Works closely with Developers, Test Leads/Managers and other project stakeholders.
• Maintains documentation test results to assist in debugging and modifying software; analyzes test results to ensure existing functionality and recommends corrective action.
• Coordinates with development teams in troubleshooting and resolving issues.
• Regularly documents, tracks and escalates issues as appropriate.
• Seeks necessary managerial support to discuss/flag risks and mitigation plans.

Experience

• Individual contributor with 4-6 years of experience who works under close supervision.
• Experience on manual testing concepts & methodologies.
• Experience in any one of ETL tool and concepts is mandatory.
• Good hands-on experience in Oracle/SQL.
• Hands on experience in these tools - Client ALM, JIRA, SynapseRT.

Education

• Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Clinical Information Management or equivalent qualifications.

Knowledge

• Good Strong understanding of SDLC/STLC processes.
• Good strong understanding of defect lifecycle.
• Good to have automation exposure/experience.
• SDTM standard knowledge is desirable.
• Good understanding of Clinical Data Management.
