Job summary

Siemens in Bangalore is seeking a seasoned Test Manager to lead Verification & Validation for protection systems. You will craft V&V strategy, govern testing, and drive quality across global teams. The role requires extensive experience in software testing, leadership, and collaboration across multi-functional groups.

The position emphasizes delivery governance, risk management, and continuous improvement of testing practices in a dynamic industrial environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 10+ years of experience in Software Verification & Validation, Quality Engineering, or Software Testing.
• Minimum 3+ years of experience in a Test Lead, Test Manager, or equivalent leadership role.

Responsibilities

• Define and drive the Verification & Validation (V&V) strategy, quality objectives, and testing governance across the Protection Portfolio.
• Lead test planning, estimation, resource allocation, and execution throughout the product lifecycle.
• Ensure alignment of testing activities with business goals, product requirements, and customer expectations.
• Establish and monitor quality metrics, test coverage, release readiness criteria, and quality KPIs.
• Manage testing risks, dependencies, and quality concerns through proactive planning and mitigation.
• Drive continuous improvement of testing processes, methodologies, and quality engineering practices.
• Lead Root Cause Analysis (RCA) activities and implement corrective and preventive actions.
• Collaborate with Product Owners, Architects, Development Teams, and key partners to ensure successful delivery.
• Influence decision-making and drive alignment across global and matrix organizations.
• Coach, mentor, and develop engineers and test leads while fostering a culture of quality and continuous learning.
• Support customer engagement, product acceptance, and quality-related communications.
• Ensure predictable and high-quality product releases through effective quality governance and delivery oversight.

• Test Management/Defect Management tools.
• Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Quality Assurance processes.
• Test Metrics, KPI Monitoring, and Release Readiness Assessment.
