Job summary

Quantela is seeking an experienced QA Automation Lead to strengthen test planning, automation testing, and QA processes across web, mobile, and API solutions. The ideal candidate will collaborate with developers, business analysts, and project stakeholders to deliver high-quality software, design scalable automation frameworks, and mentor junior testers.

This is a full-time role based in Patna, India, offering growth and impact.

Qualifications

• B.Tech/B.E./MCA/M.Tech or equivalent from a recognised institution.
• Minimum 7 years of relevant experience in software testing and QA.
• Strong knowledge of STLC and SDLC.
• Hands-on experience in automation testing and framework design.
• Experience with defect tracking and test management tools.
• Strong SQL knowledge and database validation.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to lead testing activities and coordinate with cross-functional teams.

About the Role

The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in test planning, automation testing, quality assurance processes, and stakeholder collaboration to ensure the delivery of high-quality software solutions.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Gather, analyse, and understand business and technical requirements.
• Perform feasibility analysis and define appropriate testing strategies.
• Design, develop, and maintain scalable automation testing frameworks.
• Lead automation testing activities across web, mobile, and API applications.
• Plan and execute functional, integration, regression, system, and performance testing as required.
• Conduct database validation to ensure data integrity and accuracy.
• Track, prioritise, and manage defects through their complete lifecycle.
• Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and project stakeholders to resolve quality issues.
• Establish and monitor quality assurance processes, standards, and best practices.
• Prepare test plans, test cases, test reports, and quality metrics.
• Mentor junior testers and provide technical guidance on testing methodologies and automation.

Desired Skills / Background

• B.Tech, B.E., MCA, M.Tech, or an equivalent qualification from a recognised institution. Internationally recognised OEM certifications will be an added advantage.
• Minimum 7 years of relevant experience in software testing and quality assurance.
• Strong knowledge of Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC) and Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
• Hands‑on experience in automation testing and automation framework design.
• Experience with defect tracking and test management tools.
• Strong understanding of database validation and SQL queries.
• Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to lead testing activities and coordinate with cross‑functional teams.
