Job summary

Texas Instruments is seeking an Analog Test Engineer Lead to drive test development and production testing for isolation devices. Qualifications

  • 3–5 years of experience in analog or mixed-signal test engineering.
  • ATE experience on Teradyne Eagle or equivalent analog ATE (VLCT).
  • Characterization test program and hardware development experience and production test program and hardware development.
  • Familiar with PCB design tools (Cadence).
  • Strong technical knowledge of electronic devices and analog test techniques.
  • Data analysis skills using Spotfire or equivalent tool.
  • Experienced with lab equipment such as oscilloscopes, power supplies, source meters.
  • Experience with yield improvement and test time reduction in production environments.
  • Understanding of the IC product development process from concept to volume production.
  • Time management for on-time project delivery.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Work with design team to understand design specifications.
  • Generate test plans, create test and characterization programs, and design ATE interfaces.
  • Debug silicon on ATE and correlate results with bench data.
  • Analyze silicon results and review with cross-functional teams.
  • Perform statistical analysis of yield fallout and optimize test time.
  • Collaborate with production to release products to volume production.
  • Define and implement test strategy for new isolation interface products.
  • Develop and maintain ATE hardware and software tools.
  • Lead silicon qualification and characterization efforts, includingFinal test hardware development.
  • Drive robust, cost-effective test solutions while ensuring product quality.
  • Mentor and guide junior test engineers.
  • Collaborate across functions in a fast-paced environment.

This is a unique opportunity to be part of a team that drives testing of Isolation devices going into markets with significant growth potential. The ideal candidate would have a background that includes probe and final test development of mixed signal circuits. Candidate for the role of Analog Test Engineer Lead to drive the test development and production testing. The candidate will strategize test procedures, create effective automated testing solutions, and work closely with design and cross-functional teams to guarantee the high quality and reliability of mass production test solutions.

Responsibilities include:
  • Work with design team to understand design specifications
  • Generate test plan, create test and char program, design ATE hardware interface boards
  • Debug characterizing silicon on ATE, correlate results with bench data
  • Analyze silicon results, Reviewing with cross-functional teams
  • Perform statistical analysis of yield fallout, debug and fix yield issues; optimize test time
  • Work with production team to release products to volume production
  • Test strategy definition and implementation for new ISOLATION interface products
  • ATE (Automatic Test Equipment) test hardware and software
  • Silicon qualification& characterization including qual and Final test hardware development
  • Drive for robust and cost-effective test solutions while being accountable for product quality
  • Mentor and guide junior test engineers
  • Ability to work in teams and collaborate effectively with people in different functions
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and rapidly changing environment
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Electronics Engineering

  • Experienced with various lab equipment such as scopes, power supplies, source meters, etc.
  • Experience with product engineering activities such as yield improvement and test time reduction
  • Strong understanding of the IC product development process, from concept to volume production
  • Time management skills that enable on-time project delivery
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
Preferred qualifications:
  • ATE experience on Teradyne Eagle or equivalent analog ATE (VLCT), although Eagle experience is preferred and is a differentiator
  • Characterization test program and hardware development experience, Production test program and hardware development experience, familiar with PCB design tools (Ex: Cadence)
  • Proficiency in programming/scripting in C++, Python, C#
  • Demonstrated strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work in teams and collaborate effectively with people in different functions
  • Strong time management skills that enable on-time project delivery
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and rapidly changing environment
  • Ability to take the initiative and drive for results and Mentor and guide junior test engineers
