The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in setting up automation frameworks from scratch, particularly in backend API and frontend UI testing. Proficiency in Selenium and RestAssured, along with knowledge of Agile methodologies and SQL, is essential. This role involves executing automated tests, maintaining test scripts, and collaborating closely with the functional team to enhance testing processes.

Job description

Overall, 2 to 5 Years of Experience in Testing and Automation framework development

Responsibilities & Qualifications

• Strong in setting up automation framework from scratch in both backend API/Microservices and frontend UI Automation, such as Karate framework, Selenium, Restful services or equivalent. Knowledge of AWS such as EC2, Lambda Functions, Bastion Host, VPC etc.
• Strong in API, Microservices based architecture, Rest based application/Rest assured Automation.
• Experience in various API and UI Testing tools.
• Experience in Automation frameworks like BDD and Cucumber framework.
• Experience in creating reusable automated tests. AWS Cloud Knowledge is plus, AWS based EC2, Lambda etc application automation.
• Perform periodic maintenance of Automation test scripts.
• Work closely with functional team, identify functional/UI changes and update scripts accordingly (release wise).
• Automation test execution and report analysis (Daily/Weekly/Bi-weekly/Need basis).
• Defect logging for issues identified by automation test script execution and track the same for closure.
• Knowledge in Test Reporting tools (like Extent report and Allure).
• Good knowledge in Agile development methodology.
• Good knowledge in designing test cases, defect logging, executing test cases.
• Knowledge in SQL queries. Knowledge on Non-Functional Testing, NFR and Performance testing. Strong in logical, reasoning, and analytical skills in building scripts.
• Good communication both oral and written skills, team player and dynamic.
