Job summary

HypTechie in Hyderabad is seeking a Test Engineer to help assure the quality and reliability of enterprise applications. You will work in the Enterprise Test Engineering function, focusing on functional and non-functional testing, and contribute to automated testing frameworks throughout the software delivery lifecycle.

The role requires at least 3 years in software QA with automation. You will design tests, implement automation, integrate with CI/CD, and collaborate with cross-functional teams

Qualifications

• 3+ years of software QA experience with 2+ years in test automation.

The Impact You Will Have in This Role:

As a Test Engineer, you will be integral to ensuring the quality and reliability of enterprise-level applications and systems. Working within the Enterprise Test Engineering (ETE) function, you will focus on both functional and non-functional testing, supporting the development of automated testing frameworks, and contributing to the overall software delivery lifecycle. Your contributions will help maintain DTCC's reputation for operational excellence and reliability.

Your Primary Responsibilities:

• Design, maintain, and execute test cases based on user stories or technical specifications.
• Develop, maintain, and implement automated test scripts using Java-based frameworks (TestNG/JUnit) and Selenium WebDriver.
• Ensure traceability from business requirements to test coverage and test execution.
• Participate in test planning, defect triage, and risk assessments.
• Prepare and present test result reports; manage defect lifecycle to resolution.
• Develop comprehensive end-to-end business scenarios for thorough validation.
• Ensure alignment with CI/CD pipelines and contribute to test automation integration.
• Collaborate across cross-functional teams including development, DevOps, and product owners.
• Participate in process compliance, maintain associated documentation, and adhere to organizational quality standards.
• Mitigate risk by integrating testing into all phases of the development lifecycle and escalating issues when appropriate.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 3+ years of experience in software QA with 2+ years in test automation.
• Strong hands-on experience with:
• Java (Java 8 or above) for test automation.
• Testing frameworks such as TestNG, JUnit.
• Selenium WebDriver for UI automation.
• REST Assured for API testing.
• Maven for build automation and managing dependencies.
• Experience with tools such as Git, Bitbucket, JIRA, and ALM.
• Solid understanding of:
• Test automation design patterns like Page Object Model (POM).
• XPath axes and CSS selectors.
• Agile/Scrum methodologies and Defect Management practices.
• Strong SQL skills for writing queries and validating data.
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools and processes is a plus.
