Job summary

Ascendion Engineering is expanding its Test Data Management practice and seeks a hands-on TDM Engineer/Consultant to deliver production-like test data, apply masking, and build automated pipelines for fast, secure data delivery.

You will work with client delivery teams across enterprise environments, using SQL and Python/Java to support data subsetting, de-identification, and CI/CD integrations for repeatable provisioning.

Qualifications

• 4-6 years of experience in Test Data Management, data engineering, database development, or a closely related field.
• Strong SQL skills with a solid understanding of relational database concepts, schemas, constraints, data relationships, and referential integrity.
• Hands-on experience with at least one TDM or data masking platform such as Delphix, Informatica TDM, GenRocket, Broadcom/CA TDM, or a comparable tool.
• Practical experience with data masking, de-identification, subsetting, test data provisioning, and production-like data creation.
• Hands-on development experience in Python or Java, along with automation scripting using Python, shell, or similar languages.
• Experience integrating data workflows with CI/CD pipelines and test automation processes.
• Strong troubleshooting, documentation, communication, and client-facing skills.

Responsibilities

• Design and deliver test data solutions covering subsetting, masking, de-identification, and provisioning.
• Build and maintain TDM pipelines and automation for data refresh and self-service test data requests.
• Define masking rules that protect PII/PHI while preserving referential integrity.

About the Role

We are expanding our Test Data Management practice and are looking for a hands-on professional who can deliver TDM services across enterprise clients. The role focuses on provisioning compliant, production-like test data, masking sensitive information, and building automated pipelines that make test data delivery fast, secure, and repeatable. You will work directly with client delivery teams and cross-functional engineering stakeholders.

Key Responsibilies

• Design and deliver test data solutions covering data subsetting, masking, de-identication, and provisioning across non-production environments.
• Build and maintain TDM pipelines and automation for data refresh, provisioning, and self-service test data requests.
• Prole source data and dene masking rules that protect PII and PHI while preserving referential integrity and realistic data behavior.
• Work across relational databases such as SQL Server, Oracle, and PostgreSQL, including SQL development, troubleshooting, performance analysis, and tuning.
• Partner with QA, development, data, and client teams to understand test data needs and deliver solutions within agreed timelines.
• Implement and support reusable automation using Python, Java, shell scripting, or equivalent technologies.
• Support HIPAA, privacy, security, and compliance requirements, and maintain clear technical and operational documentation.
• Contribute to CI/CD integrations, automated testing workows, monitoring, issue resolution, and continuous improvements within the TDM practice.

Required Qualicaons and Skills
