Job summary

Accenture in Pune seeks a Test Automation Lead to transform testing into a continuous, end-to-end quality engineering function. You will drive the adoption of automation-powered processes, tools, and methodologies to improve control, accuracy and integrity across projects.

Qualifications

• Must have 7.5+ years of experience in automated testing.
• Ability to build and maintain end-to-end test automation frameworks for UI and REST services.
• Proficient in Java-based test automation and related algorithms.
• Knowledge of Maven or equivalent build tools.
• Experience with BDD using Cucumber.
• Familiarity with SQL queries and relational DBs.
• Hands-on UI automation with Selenium and API testing with Postman/Rest Assured.

Summary:

As a Test Automation Lead, a typical day involves spearheading the evolution of testing practices to establish a seamless and efficient quality engineering process. This role focuses on enhancing the overall testing framework by integrating advanced tools and methodologies that ensure precision and reliability. The position requires driving innovation in testing strategies, fostering continuous improvement, and overseeing the implementation of intelligent automation solutions that elevate the quality and integrity of deliverables across projects.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Expected to be an SME, collaborate and manage the team to perform.
• Responsible for team decisions.
• Engage with multiple teams and contribute on key decisions.
• Provide solutions to problems for their immediate team and across multiple teams.
• Lead the adoption of best practices in quality engineering to enhance testing efficiency and effectiveness.
• Mentor and support team members to develop their skills and ensure alignment with project goals.
• Coordinate cross-functional collaboration to address challenges and optimize testing workflows.

Professional & Technical Skills:

Must:

• QA Automation experience - level 8/9
• Able to build and to maintain E2E test automation frameworks for both UI and Rest services, on the UI side we require Playwright expertise and on the Rest we require RestAssured or other Java library.
• Java programming knowledge into the test automation and algorithms
• Maven or other build tool knowledge
• Experience with Behavior Driven Development (BDD) using Cucumber
• Experience with relational databases and querying tools such as SQL server
• Experience with UI test automation using Selenium
• Experience with tools such as Postman/Rest Assured

Nice to have:

• Experience with API test automation using Karate framework
• Experience with UI test automation using Selenium
• Exposure to working in a DevOps environment configuring and integrating automation scripts on CI/CD pipelines using GitLab or equivalent
• Experience with GIT or other version control tools

Additional Information:

• The candidate should have minimum 5 years of experience in Automated Testing.
• The candidate is required to work out of the Client Office in Kharadi, Pune for 3 days per week, as per the mandate
• A 15 years full time education is required. 15 years full time education
