Job summary

Fidelity International (FIL) is hiring a Test Analyst/Senior Test Analyst for its FIL India Technology - RKP team in Gurgaon. The role focuses on functional testing, test automation, and collaboration with development and business analysts to cover testing gaps.

The ideal candidate will work with existing automation frameworks or build new ones, aiming to improve speed and quality while aligning with DevOps practices. 2–6 years of experience in functional and automation testing is expected.

Qualifications

• Experience in Java programming and automation testing.
• Hands-on with Gauge, Selenium, REST Assured frameworks.
• Experience with microservices, REST APIs, Kafka messaging, and streaming.
• Experience with AWS cloud services, wiremock, Kubernetes.
• Proficient in SQL and DB testing on PostgreSQL and DynamoDB; understanding data models and queries.
• Experience with GitHub and Jenkins for CI/CD.

Responsibilities

• Focus on functional testing, test automation & collaboration with Dev and BA.
• Enhance existing automation frameworks or develop new ones to speed changes.
• Create and maintain testing services/frameworks and a functional automation suite with DevOps mindset.

The RKP (Record Keeping) team is part of the wider FIL Technology team and is primarily responsible for supporting the UK Business covering Personal Investing customers, Advised clients, Workplace Investing clients and members. This role is for a highly motivated Quality Engineer to work within the Quality space. The individual will need to work on multiple tools/technologies and will be responsible for the overall quality of the system.

About your role

The role will focus on functional testing, test automation & engineering, and collaboration with both development and business analysts to identify functional and technical testing areas, as well as address key capability testing gaps. The role will involve using/enhancing existing automation frameworks or developing a new one to improve the speed of change. The key outcomes shall include (but are not limited to) creating and maintaining testing related services/framework and a functional automation suite while keeping the DevOps principle of speed and quality in mind.

About you

A candidate should have the below must-have skills:

• Experience in Java as a programming language
• Experience in Gauge, Selenium, Rest Assured as Test frameworks
• Experience in working in microservice architecture with API (REST), Messaging(KAFKA), Streaming
• Experience with AWS cloud services, wiremock, Kubernetes
• Experience in working with databases like PostgreSQL, DynamoDB, Database Testing, and understanding complex SQL (queries, views, stored procedures). Good understanding of database concepts, such as data models, schemas, tables, queries, views, stored procedures, triggers, indexes, constraints, and transactions
• Experience with Github - All Git commands (Rebase, Squashing etc) and Jenkins for CI/CD

A candidate should have the below good-to-have skills:

• Experience to containerize applications in Docker, Podman
• Experience in using Github Copilot as AI enabler in testing

A candidate must possess the below items as their work experience:

• Microservice test architecture ways of working
• Ability to create good functional test cases
• Experience designing and executing DB validation test cases on cloud platforms
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD and build/deployment automation
• Experience with REST Assured or similar API testing libraries.
• Hands on experience in writing step implementations and spec files

About your qualifications

• B.E./B.Tech or above
• At least 2-6 years of experience in Functional, automation and DB testing
• Proven record of achievements in testing teams
• Knowledge of Agile software development life-cycle methodologies
