About the role

The Territory Manager – Quarries & Construction (Q&C) is responsible for ensuring safe, efficient, and reliable delivery of blasting solutions and services to customers across assigned territories in India. This role drives operational excellence, contract execution, and customer satisfaction while identifying growth opportunities within the Q&C segment. The Territory Manager will lead site teams, manage assets, and maintain strong relationships with customers and key stakeholders to support Orica’s strategic objectives in India.


What you will be doing

Lead Safe, Reliable and Efficient Operations


  • Champion a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with SHES standards, statutory requirements, and operational procedures across your territory.

  • Deliver safe, efficient, and reliable blasting solutions that support customer and business objectives.

  • Monitor operational performance, including DIFOT and tonnage delivery, and use insights to drive continuous improvement.

  • Conduct regular operational reviews to ensure sites are operating safely, efficiently, and in line with agreed performance expectations.

  • Oversee the effective management, utilization, security, and lifecycle planning of operational assets.

  • Lead, coach, and develop site teams, building capability and supporting succession planning to ensure long-term business success.


Drive Commercial Performance and Business Growth


  • Identify, develop, and convert growth opportunities within the Quarries & Construction segment.

  • Prepare commercial proposals, support bid development, negotiate contracts, and help secure sustainable business outcomes.

  • Partner with customers to understand their operational challenges and deliver solutions that create value and strengthen long-term relationships.

  • Support contract execution and compliance, ensuring commitments are delivered safely, efficiently, and commercially.

  • Manage invoicing, pricing adjustments, and commercial processes to support strong financial performance.

  • Apply sound commercial and financial judgement to support governance requirements, including contract financial controls, capital expenditure, and debtor management.


Build Strong Customer and Industry Relationships


  • Develop trusted relationships with customers, contractors, industry partners, and key stakeholders.

  • Act as a strategic partner by understanding customer priorities and helping deliver practical, outcome-focused solutions.

  • Engage with regulatory authorities and industry bodies to support business objectives and maintain strong external relationships.

  • Gather and share market intelligence, customer insights, and industry trends to support business strategy, pricing decisions, and future growth opportunities.


Lead People and Build Capability


  • Create an environment where people can perform, grow, and contribute their best work.

  • Foster collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement across teams.

  • Support capability development through coaching, feedback, and development planning.
