Astrobase Space Technologies is hiring a Launch Vehicle Integration Technician in Bengaluru. You will assemble booster/upper stage structures, install propulsion and avionics systems, and perform precision alignment and testing to ensure launch readiness.

You will work with ISRO-experienced engineers, follow strict safety standards, and document measurements; expect shifts during launch campaigns and hands-on integration duties across mechanical, propulsion, and electrical domains.

• Diploma/ITI in related field with aerospace assembly exposure.
• 2–5 years experience in launch vehicle integration or aerospace assembly.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and follow GD&T.

Responsabilidades

• Assemble booster and upper stage structures and install interface hardware.
• Perform precision alignment, shimming, and dimensional verification.
• Execute torque tightening and preload per specifications.
• Handle lifting, rigging, and positioning of large aerospace structures.
• Install propulsion subsystems and support cryogenic systems.
• Support leak, pneumatic, and hydrostatic testing.
• Install wiring harnesses, sensors, and avionics boxes.
• Coordinate with QA during inspections and maintain assembly records.
• Perform stage mating/demating and metrology checks.

JOB SUMMARY

The Launch Vehicle Integration Technician is responsible for the assembly, integration, testing, inspection, and handling of launch vehicle structures, booster stages, upper stages, propulsion systems, avionics subsystems, and associated ground support equipment. The technician shall execute integration activities as per engineering drawings, work instructions, quality standards, and safety procedures to ensure successful vehicle build and launch readiness.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Mechanical Integration

• Perform assembly and integration of booster stage and upper stage structures.
• Install interface hardware, brackets, fittings, fasteners, clamps, and structural components.
• Perform precision alignment, shimming, fitment, and dimensional verification.
• Execute torque tightening and preload activities as per specifications.
• Carry out lifting, rigging, handling, and positioning of large aerospace structures.

Propulsion System Integration

• Install propulsion subsystems including tanks, feedlines, valves, regulators, and associated hardware.
• Support integration of liquid, cryogenic, and pressurization systems.
• Perform leak testing, pneumatic testing, and hydrostatic testing activities.
• Assist in propellant servicing preparation and validation activities.

Avionics & Electrical Integration

• Install wiring harnesses, sensors, avionics boxes, connectors, and communication systems.
• Perform continuity checks, insulation resistance tests, and cable routing inspections.
• Support system checkout and functional testing activities.

Vehicle Assembly & Alignment

• Execute stage mating and demating operations.
• Support booster-to-core and upper-stage integration activities.
• Perform precision measurements using metrology equipment.
• Ensure dimensional compliance with engineering requirements.

Testing & Inspection

• Support functional tests, proof pressure tests, and integrated system tests.
• Record measurements and maintain assembly documentation.
• Identify, report, and assist in resolving non-conformances.
• Work closely with Quality Assurance teams during inspections.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Aeronautical Engineering, Mechatronics, Production Engineering, or equivalent.
• ITI with relevant aerospace, fabrication, fitting, or mechanical assembly experience may also be considered.
• 2-5 years of experience in launch vehicle integration, propulsion systems, aerospace assembly, or complex mechanical integration.
