The MRI Technician – Radiology is responsible for performing MRI examinations, preparing and screening patients, operating MRI equipment, maintaining image quality, and ensuring strict adherence to MRI safety protocols.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Prepare patients for MRI examinations according to prescribed protocols.
• Verify patient identity, clinical history, and examination requirements.
• Conduct thorough MRI safety screening before each examination.
• Operate MRI equipment and select appropriate imaging protocols.
• Position patients accurately to obtain high-quality diagnostic images.
• Explain MRI procedures and safety requirements to patients.
• Monitor patients throughout MRI examinations.
• Assist with contrast-enhanced MRI procedures under appropriate clinical supervision.
• Identify contraindications and safety risks associated with MRI procedures.
• Ensure no unauthorized ferromagnetic objects enter controlled MRI areas.
• Review images for technical quality and repeat sequences when required.
• Maintain accurate patient and imaging documentation.
• Perform routine equipment checks and report technical issues promptly.
• Coordinate with radiologists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
