Job summary

AWS Data Center Operations is seeking an innovative, customer-obsessed Technical Training Manager to lead a new Full-Time Training Team (FTT) for Data Center Operations. You will own the development and implementation of initial training, maintain lab equipment, and drive continuous improvement of training programs.

As a leader, you will manage a team of technical trainers across DCEO, DCO, ID, Decommissioning and Logistics, implementing standardized processes and metrics while collaborating

Qualifications

• 2+ years of direct people management, including performance management and employee development experience
• 4+ years of training, technical instruction, or maintenance leadership capacity experience
• 4+ years of conducting predictive and preventative maintenance procedures experience
• 4+ years of repairing material handling equipment (MHE), automated conveyor systems, or related mechanical/controls equipment experience
• 4+ years of demonstrating safety standards experience
• Work a flexible schedule/shift/work area, including weekends, nights, and/or holidays
• 3+ years of leading training, technical instruction, or maintenance operations programs at a regional or multi-site level experience
• 5+ years of demonstrating safety standards experience
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent, or experience in curriculum development for international technical support organizations

Basic Qualifications

• 1+ years of Microsoft Office products and applications experience
• 2+ years of direct people management, including performance management and employee development experience
• 4+ years of training, technical instruction, or maintenance leadership capacity experience
• 4+ years of conducting predictive and preventative maintenance procedures experience
• 4+ years of repairing material handling equipment (MHE), automated conveyor systems, or related mechanical/controls equipment experience
• 4+ years of demonstrating safety standards experience
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent, or 2+ years of Amazon RME (BB/3P) Full Time Exempt experience
• Work a flexible schedule/shift/work area, including weekends, nights, and/or holidays
• 3+ years of leading training, technical instruction, or maintenance operations programs at a regional or multi-site level experience
• 5+ years of demonstrating safety standards experience
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent, or experience in curriculum development for international technical support organizations

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience managing training programs or teams across multiple sites or regions
• Experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS) administration and reporting
• Experience with technical writing, curriculum development, or instructional design
• Experience in project management
• Experience with data analysis and using metrics to drive program improvements
• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification, or experience in project management
• Experience with instructional design, curriculum architecture, or training program development
