Job summary

JDA Software is seeking a WMS consultant to lead implementation efforts and configure the WMS solution to meet customer business and technical needs. You will engage with project managers, solution architects, and customer teams, driving knowledge transfer and addressing functional requirements.

You will collaborate with product management for new releases, support post-go-live stabilization, and deliver end-to-end services across installations, integrations and testing.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in CS/Engineering or related field.
• Experience in WMS configuration and deployments.
• Knowledge of interfaces between WMS and ERP/Host systems.

Responsibilities

• Serve as technical liaison in meetings with PM, Solution Architects and customer stakeholders.
• Ensure knowledge transfer with customer project team.
• Communicate product needs and enhancements to PMG/PD.
• Coordinate with Product Management on new releases and functionality.
• Work with the Operate team to stabilize after go-live and drive value realization.
• Conduct functional sessions to understand client needs and design solutions.
• Provide functional support across QA, environment setup, installation, configuration and testing.
• Deliver product implementation services and related integrations.
• Contribute as a senior consultant on projects onsite or offshore.

Job description

**Scope:*** Core responsibilities of implementation and possess strong domain knowledge in WMS solution to understand how the Blue Yonder solution can be configured and delivered to better facilitate customer business and technical processes* Look at various angles of a Problem to identify the root cause to solve a Variety of problems. Promotes the same outlook in the Team.* Volunteers for new challenges and eager to learn and challenge himself for new tasks as well build a network outside the immediate Team and encourage an atmosphere where team can thrive **What you’ll do**:* Serves as a techncial liaison and attends and contributes to key meetings between Project Manager, Solution Architects, key customer contacts, and customer users, up to and including key executive project sponsors* Ensures knowledge transfer is conducted with key customer project team* Communicates business cases to PMG and PD regarding customer specific needs related to product functionality and enhancements* Interacts with Product Management Group & Product Development Team regarding new releases and new functionality and act as the liaison to communicate to the rest of the team* Work with Operate team to make Customer Stable post go-live and venture towards value realization.* Conducts functional analysis sessions with clients and/or the project team to understand the functional needs of the client and develops functional solutions to meet those needs.* Provide variety of functional support to the project team; including quality assurance/design review, environment setup, software installation, configuration, report and label generation, operation consulting, troubleshooting, system testing & programming.* Responsible for services delivery of product implementation and related integration.* Works as a senior member of a consulting team on product implementation, enhancement, managed services, integration, custom projects either at the customer site or offshore. **What we are looking for:*** 3-10 Years of corporate experience* Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in Computer Science or Engineering or other relevant discipline.* Expertise in functional configuration of WMS product, Technical Integration, Quality Assurance, System Testing and Performance Tuning.* Hands-on Experience on Technical configuration of WMS product (preferably JDA/RedPrairie WMS).* Knowledge on interfaces between WMS and ERP/Host, TMS, WLM, T&T, Parcel, 3rd party system that integrates with WMS.* Knowledge on integration between WMS and Voice / Material Handling / ASRS systems* In depth knowledge of resolving issues through Trace files.* Ability to resolve complex problems with minimal guidance.* Excellent computer skills with in-depth knowledge of operating systems, client/server technology, ERP systems, Integration and Middleware technologies and applications* Ability to develop and maintain strong, productive relationships with customers, partners and consultants* Strong proactive communicator and presenter, able to influence and collaborate at all levels of an organization to maximize problem resolution while effectively presenting information and responding to highly specialized functional questions* Highly developed analytical and problem solving skills* Ability to work independently effectively and proactively* Teamwork mentality* Contributes to the growth of the functional consulting practice by developing and maintaining practice aids, databases, best-practice collateral.* Ensures compliance with the following internal and external company policies and procedures: Company project methodology On-time submission of Time, Travel and Expenses report Company procedures related to travel and expenses* Skill set and availability requirements as per the organization's needs* Knowledge in performance tuning techniques is added advantage.* Provides guidance to Support Services in responding to base functional issues.* Understanding and experience with the functional requirements for the product line assigned.* Understanding of Database structures.
