Fidelity International is seeking a Technical Specialist - AI to lead design, engineering and delivery of enterprise-grade AI solutions. You will drive LLM-based, agentic systems with robust RAG architectures, and work with OpenAI, Claude and open models.

The role involves rapid prototyping with business teams and productionising scalable AI services. You will collaborate across GC & Finance Technology, applying strong Python, ML, and Transformer knowledge, while adhering to governance, security

GC & Finance Technology

GC&F Technology function provides Technology services to multiple business functions like Finance, General Counsel and Corporate Services (CS), globally. This includes on-premises and SaaS solutions, both in-house built and vendor provided. There is a strong focus on data analytics, workflow, automation tools and our inhouse built integration platform, to bring greater efficiency to these functions. GC&F Technology team is a global team with people based in the UK, China, and India, and a part of the Enterprise Technology Services (ETS) organization.

This role sits at the centre of our transformation journey. We are seeking a bold and innovative AI engineer who can lead the design, engineering and delivery of enterprise-grade LLM and Agentic AI solutions, combining robust RAG architectures, deterministic application workflows, prompt engineering and cloud-native engineering practices. The role will work closely with business stakeholders as a Forward Deployed Engineer, rapidly translating business problems into scalable AI solutions from experimentation through production.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and deliver enterprise-grade Agentic AI solutions combining LLMs, RAG, deterministic workflows, APIs and external tools.
• Build AI solutions integrated into native enterprise applications and existing business workflows, ensuring seamless user experience and adoption.
• Integrate foundation models such as OpenAI , Claude and other open source models, including prompt engineering, chaining and tool/function calling.
• Build end-to-end RAG pipelines covering ingestion, embeddings, indexing, hybrid retrieval, reranking and grounded generation.
• Apply cloud-native engineering practices to build secure, scalable and production-ready AI services.
• Establish model and agent governance covering evaluation, monitoring, versioning, security, traceability and human oversight.
• Work as a Forward Deployed Engineer with business teams, applying strong AI/ML and Transformer knowledge to rapidly prototype, validate and productionise solutions.

Experience and Qualifications

Technical

• Strong hands-on experience in Python and building production-grade AI/ML applications, APIs and backend services.

• Proven experience working with LLMs such as OpenAI, Claude or equivalent models, including prompt engineering, structured outputs, tool calling and model evaluation.

• Practical experience designing and implementing RAG solutions using embeddings, vector databases, hybrid search, reranking and enterprise knowledge sources.

• Experience designing Agentic AI workflows using orchestration frameworks and integrating AI capabilities with native enterprise applications, APIs and business systems.

• Strong understanding of Machine Learning, Data Science, Transformer architectures and the underlying concepts behind modern foundation models.

• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS , including containerisation, Kubernetes, CI/CD, observability, security and scalable application deployment.

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Engineering, Data Science, AI/ML or a related discipline, with demonstrated experience delivering AI solutions from prototype through production.
