Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree combining Finance and Information Technology or related field.
• Deep SAP Finance knowledge (S4/HANA) with FI/CO focus.
• Minimum 15 years in SAP Finance IT, 8+ years hands-on SAP dev in S4/HANA (FIORI/CDS/AMDP/BTP).
• Strong SAP FI/CO, MM, SD functional familiarity and architecture understanding.
• Experience with global/regional SAP rollouts and enterprise architecture.

Responsibilities

• Own the technical architecture, design, and integration strategy for SAP Finance solutions (CFIN/SigniFi).
• Collaborate with Product Managers and squads to align financial systems with business goals.
• Lead cross-functional teams to deliver scalable, secure, and compliant SAP solutions.

Position Summary

Johnson & Johnson’s SigniFi Program is transforming Finance through next-generation technology and process optimization. We are seeking a Techno-Functional Consultant with strong hands-on expertise in SAP Finance, technical Integration, and BTP. The ideal candidate will bring both technical depth and functional Finance knowledge to support delivery across Finance, Central Finance, SigniFi, and satellite systems (Data Hub, DDGR).

Johnson & Johnson’s SAP Solution Architect will own CFIN Technical solution and architectural decisions, acting as the executor and the visionary behind the Techno-Functional solution; works with squad Lead Engineers and Product squads to design and deliver sophisticated Finance/treasury requirement; accountable for the Product technical architecture, alignment to the technology roadmap, and technical engineering standards.

This role requires working closely with cross-functional business and technology teams, ensuring high-quality design, development, integration, and upgrade execution to enable seamless financial operations globally.

Major Duties & Responsibilities

Technology solutions activities

Responsible for overall Engineering and Technology architecture design, roadmap, and technical decisions for the product in coordination with the Product Group Engineer and BU Architect. Accountable for ensuring that technical implementation is aligned to the BU Architecture vision.

Work closely with the Business Product Manager to define Product strategy/vision.

Work with squads to problem-solve technical challenges and implement solutions, using the squad technology strategy as a guide,

Drive development and selection of technical solution options (from the approved list of (global?) solutions) and test concepts / potential solutions with users.

Negotiate technology options with business partners and collaborate with product teams to see opportunities to leverage solutions across platforms.

Manage development and review cadence, align tech landscape across squads to promote reusability, scalability, and modularity.

Supervise product developments and drive leading engineering practices for higher tech quality.

Own the technology lifecycle management and Product API catalogue, including the definition, creation, and maintenance of technical interfaces.

Observe technology trends across the industry and conduct research spikes for new capability and innovation opportunities.

Ensure timely adoption of new technologies and innovation, select and resource ideas to explore via ideation sessions where vital.

Help Product Owners/Lead Engineers prioritize technical backlogs (across squads) and coach / mentor product and squad members.

Works with squads and other Product Lead Engineers to manage risks and solve, elevate, and track cross-product dependencies and impediments.

Resolve business and technical challenges in order to deliver on time, within budget and with high quality keeping in mind the end goal of ensuring the realization of business benefits

Be the single point of contact for ISRM, TQ (Q-CSV), vendors, and enterprise platform owners.

Design flexible, reliable, scalable long-term solutions using modern SAP features.

High focus on using / promoting SAP standard solutions, compliance and security, simplicity, speed, and robustness, maximally using SAP customizing solutions.

Define quality standards for design, development, testing and operations in alignment with J&J policies & procedures and ensure this is embedded in the organizational culture.

Ensure the business and technical solution architecture is complete and matches the requirements.

End-to-end ownership from technical design to operational processes in production with a DevOps model and proactive monitoring in mind

Teamwork

Work across multiple Business Technology, Architecture, Product Line and Technology Services groups to define and deliver innovation solutions.

Functional/Technical Subject Matter expert in treasury solution offered throughout Johnson & Johnson Technology

Work closely with Treasury Product Squads

Work with Product Managers and Product Owners to identify and align on requirements.

Align with the Platform Reliability Engineer (PRE) to solve complex engineering problems.

Work across multiple BT, architecture, PL and TS groups to define and deliver innovation solutions.

Challenge the status quo and identify areas for opportunities within existing IT processes and solutions.

Apply delivery automation processes where possible (testing, release, development control)

Actively participate in the continuous IT process improvement initiatives by striving to look for possible efficiencies, scalability.

Agile delivery, working in partnership with the product manager, product owners, product analysts and solution / data engineer roles.

Qualifications - External

• Required
• Bachelor’s degree, combining Finance and Information Technology or Computer Science
• In depth technical SAP (S4/HANA) Finance knowledge, domain specialist, preferably in Central Finance, CFIN
• Minimum 15 years of SAP Finance Information Technology of which min 8 years hands-on SAP development experience in S4 HANA with FIORI, CDS, DATA, CPI, AMDP and BTP
• Strong general SAP functional FI, MM and SD & technical skills, strong delivery management skills are required.
• Knowledge of enterprise architecture and development methodologies.
• In depth knowledge of financial business processes and their corresponding SAP transactions FI/CO is required.
• Experience with global/regional SAP rollouts is preferred. Experience in managing and delivering complex technology projects is preferred.
• Ability to work in a results and performance driven environment where you will be challenged to deliver quality results within the agreed timeframe and budget is required.
• Knowledge of security set up in SAP, and testing experience with HP ALM is a plus

• English: Good written and oral communication skills
