• Bachelor's degree in CS/Engineering or related field.
• 10–16 years total software experience with 4–6 years in technical project management.
• Mandatory: hands-on Insurance domain experience (policy administration, claims, underwriting, billing).
• Strong Java/J2EE, Spring Boot, microservices, and API skills.
• Solid DB knowledge (SQL/NoSQL) and cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP).
• Proven experience managing Agile/Scrum; PMP/PRINCE2/CSM preferred.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end planning, execution, and delivery of Java-based software projects in Insurance.
• Translate business requirements into technical specs with architects and dev teams.
• Manage timelines, budgets, resources, and risks using Agile/Scrum or hybrid methods.
• Serve as primary liaison between stakeholders, clients, and engineering teams.
• Conduct sprint planning, daily stand-ups, retrospectives, and reviews.
• Review designs and code quality to ensure alignment with goals.
• Identify and mitigate technical, compliance, and project risks.
• Coordinate with QA, DevOps, and infrastructure for smooth deployments.
• Track KPIs and prepare status reports for leadership and clients.
• Mentor junior coordinators and support team capability building.

The ideal candidate combines deep technical understanding with proven project leadership skills, ensuring complex insurance-related projects are delivered on time, within scope, and to a high standard of quality.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end planning, execution, and delivery of Java-based software projects within the Insurance domain (Life, P&C, Health, or General Insurance).
• Translate business and regulatory requirements into technical specifications in collaboration with architects and development teams.
• Manage project timelines, budgets, resources, and risks using Agile/Scrum or hybrid methodologies.
• Act as the primary point of contact between stakeholders, clients, and the engineering team.
• Conduct sprint planning, daily stand-ups, retrospectives, and sprint reviews.
• Review technical designs and code quality at a high level to ensure alignment with project goals.
• Identify and mitigate technical, compliance, and project risks proactively.
• Coordinate with QA, DevOps, and infrastructure teams to ensure smooth deployments.
• Track project KPIs and prepare status reports for leadership and clients.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• 10-16 years of overall experience in software development, with at least 4-6 years in a Technical Project Management role.
• Mandatory: Hands-on experience working in the Insurance domain (policy administration, claims, underwriting, billing, or related systems).
• Strong hands-on background in Java/J2EE, Spring Boot, microservices architecture, and related frameworks.
• Solid understanding of databases (SQL/NoSQL), APIs, and cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP).
• Proven experience managing Agile/Scrum projects; PMP, PRINCE2, or CSM certification preferred.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Experience with project tracking tools like JIRA, Confluence, MS Project, or similar.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to make technical trade-off decisions.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in client-facing/consulting environments within insurance/insuretech.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
• Exposure to enterprise-level Java application architecture and insurance system integrations.
