Technical Project Manager

With facilities in Europe, the United States, and Asia, Eurofins Genomics is an internationally leading provider of DNA sequencing services, genotyping services, DNA synthesis products, and bioinformatics services for pharma, diagnostics, food, agriculture, biotechnological, and research markets.

The Genomics business is enabled by global engineering teams working on next‑generation applications and Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS), customer portals, and enterprise platforms.

As a Technical Project Manager, you will be responsible for leading multiple teams working across different technologies, ensuring predictable delivery, operational excellence, and continuous improvement.

This role demands strong people, process, and product management capabilities, with the ability to define clear goals and ensure the team consistently meets them. It also requires a data‑driven mindset to enhance productivity and efficiency, along with close collaboration with engineering, architecture, DevOps, QA, and business stakeholders to deliver outcomes aligned with strategic objectives.

This role reports to a Senior Manager.

Primary Responsibilities

In this role as Technical Project Manager, you will own end‑to‑end delivery across multiple teams and technologies. You will balance execution, governance, and leadership responsibilities while ensuring alignment with business priorities, engineering standards, and organizational objectives.

You will act as a key interface between technology teams and leadership, enabling transparency, accountability, and continuous improvement.

Specific Assignments

• Manage and coordinate multiple cross‑functional teams working across different technology stacks.
• Provide people management, including goal setting, regular 1:1s, feedback, coaching, and driving the appraisal process for direct and indirect reports.
• Own project planning, execution, monitoring, and closure, ensuring scope, schedule, cost, and quality commitments are met.
• Apply prior hands‑on development experience in .NET, Java, Angular, WPF, and Python to guide technical discussions and decisions.
• Lead Agile / Scrum practices, including sprint planning, backlog management, reviews, and retrospectives.
• Define, track, and manage KPIs, KRAs, and delivery metrics across teams.
• Analyze delivery and operational data to derive insights and drive productivity and efficiency improvements.
• Drive product‑oriented thinking, aligning delivery execution with business outcomes and long‑term roadmap.
• Prepare and present Steering Committee (SteerCo) updates, executive dashboards, and status reports.
• Proactively manage risks, dependencies, and escalations across teams and stakeholders.
• Ensure adherence to delivery governance, quality standards, and organizational processes.
• Maintain high‑quality project documentation, including plans, RAID logs, dashboards, and operational reports.
• Foster a culture of accountability, transparency, collaboration, and continuous learning.
• Communicate clearly and effectively with technical and non‑technical stakeholders across geographies.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent.
• 10–16 years of overall IT experience, with prior hands‑on development and 3+ years in a Technical Project Manager or Delivery Manager role.
• Experience working with globally distributed teams.
• Experience working with stakeholders across US and Europe is a plus.
• Exposure to DevOps and cloud‑based delivery models.

PERFORMANCE APPRAISAL CRITERIA

Eurofins has a strong focus on Performance Management system. This includes quarterly calibrations, half‑yearly reviews and annual reviews. The KPIs shall be set and may vary slightly between projects. These will be clearly communicated, documented during the first 30 days of your joining.
