Technical Project Coordinator (Trading Platform)
iRage is one of India's leading high-frequency trading firms. We build and own everything in-house, from ultra-low-latency execution to full trading infrastructure. Our systems deliver some of the lowest latencies in the market, with order-send speeds under 100 nanoseconds. Our stack is fully in-house: custom FPGA pipelines, kernel-bypass networking, in-house exchange gateways, and a C++ codebase we own end-to-end from market data ingestion to order entry and risk.
We are looking for a Technical Project Coordinator who is at the intersection of software engineering, trading operations, & program management. You will help define requirements, coordinate architecture decisions, coordinate projects with technical personnel & build the processes that keep a world-class HFT engineering team running.
Key Responsibilities
Project Planning & Execution
- Own project delivery from scoping through post-mortem: requirements, milestones, dependencies, risks.
- Define clear deliverable & roles for each initiative before work starts.
- Maintain project plans & milestone trackers across multiple concurrent workstreams.
- Manage release schedules for platform updates, exchange connectivity changes (NSE, BSE, MCX) & co-location upgrades.
- Anticipate blockers. Resolve them before they become delays.
Stakeholder & Cross-Team Coordination
- Bridge software engineering, quant research, trading, risk/compliance, & leadership.
- Translate technical updates into clear business summaries.
- Run standups, sprint reviews, & steering updates.
Architecture, Tooling & Infrastructure
- Participate in design & architecture discussions for internal tools.
- Own project management tooling (Jira, Confluence, or equivalent).
- Keep tickets, sprints & docs clean.
- Continuously improve delivery processes
Technical Understanding & Documentation
- Maintain solid working knowledge of trading system architecture: order routing, market data feeds, FIX protocol, co-location setups.
- Use familiarity with C++ and Python to review specs, assess scope, and engage credibly with engineering teams.
- Keep technical documentation current: architecture records, integration specs, runbooks, incident reports.
- Track SEBI circulars and exchange notices. Give engineering teams the lead time they need to stay compliant.
- Manage risk registers for production deployments. Run post-mortems that produce real improvements.
Qualifications
- 3+ years in a technical project coordination or program management role.
- Working knowledge of C++ and Python enough to read code, review designs, and engage meaningfully with engineers.
- Familiarity with FIX protocol, co-location environments, or market data infrastructure.
- Exposure to exchange certification and UAT processes (NSE, BSE, MCX).
- Knowledge of SEBI regulatory requirements for trading technology.
- Background in hardware/software procurement and cost-benefit evaluation.
Who You Are
- You understand trading architecture. You can read C++ and Python. You don't need to build but you need to understand what's being built. Technically credible.
- You bring clarity to ambiguity. You write things down, follow up, and close loops. Structured by habit.
- Your decisions on tradeoffs, procurement, and process are backed by data and clear thinking. Analytically sharp.
- Production incidents happen. Regulatory deadlines are real. You keep teams focused. Calm under pressure.
