Job summary

ADCI - Karnataka, aligned with Amazon Prime initiatives, seeks a seasoned Technical Program Manager to lead large-scale distributed systems programs across multiple stakeholders in India. You will influence architecture, drive end-to-end delivery, and ensure a differentiated Prime member journey.

You will collaborate with engineering teams, manage cross-functional releases, and keep leadership informed with metrics and milestones for high-impact programs in emerging markets.

Qualifications

  • 7+ years of direct collaboration with engineering teams.
  • 3+ years of software development experience.
  • 5+ years of technical program management with software teams.
  • Experience coordinating cross-functional programs and release schedules.

Are you passionate about building innovative technology solutions that drive Prime membership growth and deliver personalized experiences? Join our IES Prime team where you'll lead complex technical programs across multiple stakeholders to create differentiated customer journeys throughout the Prime lifecycle. In this role, you'll leverage your deep technical expertise in large-scale distributed systems to drive strategic initiatives that connect various Amazon systems, enhancing the end-to-end Prime experience for customers in Emerging Markets.

Description

Working at the intersection of customer experience and technical implementation, you'll tackle challenges across distributed systems, customer-facing applications, high-throughput production environments, and the application of ML/AI to enhance the Prime membership journey. This unique position offers exceptional visibility across Amazon's ecosystem while contributing to Prime's north star vision of becoming Earth's most engaging, satisfying, and loved membership program.

Key job responsibilities
  • Define and validate complex program requirements across multiple stakeholder teams, solving ambiguous problems and proactively identifying risks related to Prime lifecycle experiences
  • Partner with engineering teams to create high-level technical designs and architectural for implementing solutions that integrate with various Amazon systems, ensuring scalability and performance for high-volume customer experiences
  • Drive end-to-end program management for technical initiatives that enhance Prime membership growth, benefit engagement
  • Lead technical discussions with cross-functional teams to align business needs with technical constraints, making smart trade-offs between short and long-term requirements
  • Streamline processes and implement operational excellence procedures to improve concurrent project delivery while monitoring metrics and program health
A day in the life

As an example - Your day begins with leading a cross-team planning session to align stakeholders on integration challenges for an upcoming Prime benefit enhancement. You'll brainstorm solutions for scaling a personalized post-signup journey, then unblock your team by facilitating a design review with partner engineering teams. Afterward, you'll contribute to the team's architectural evolution during a technical review session, analyze program metrics, and prepare updates for leadership on the progress of your initiatives that improve Prime's value-for-money promise in price-sensitive markets.

The IES Prime team drives the growth of Prime membership by delivering personalized, contextual, and value-led experiences across the member lifecycle. Our mandate spans creating differentiated post-sign-up journeys, deepening benefit engagement, communicating value realized through personalized experiences, and enabling seamless renewals that reinforce Prime's value-for-money promise—a core differentiator in price-sensitive markets.

Basic Qualifications
  • 7+ years of working directly with engineering teams experience
  • 3+ years of software development experience
  • 5+ years of technical program management working directly with software engineering teams experience
  • Experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules
Preferred Qualifications
  • 5+ years of project management disciplines including scope, schedule, budget, quality, along with risk and critical path management experience
  • Experience managing projects across cross functional teams, building sustainable processes and coordinating release schedules
  • Experience defining KPI's/SLA's used to drive multi-million dollar businesses and reporting to senior leadership
