Job summary

Google is seeking a Technical Program Manager to lead multi-disciplinary projects within the Geo team. You will plan requirements, identify risks, manage schedules, and communicate with cross-functional partners across the company.

You will translate business needs into technical strategies, collaborating with engineers, product managers, QA, and operations to deliver scalable data-driven maps products and improve data quality using ML/AI approaches.

Responsibilities

• Manage large technical projects from concept to launch with realistic estimates and metrics.
• Understand Google Geo products, internal tools and data schemas to drive automation.
• Develop technical solutions that automate and improve operational efficiencies.
• Leverage technical skills to analyze trends, improve data pipelines and create scalable solutions.
• Build scalable, data-driven data products to power Google Maps.

Minimum qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 1 year of experience in program management.

Preferred qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in engineering or other related technical fields.
• Experience in mapping technologies and or mapping operations.
• Track record of defining measurements and data quality metrics.
• Data analytics skills and experience in data management.
• Process improvement skills, lean, six sigma and agile experience.
• Strong technical and business acumen with an ability to solve data and operational problems with machine learning and artificial intelligence technologies.

Responsibilities

• Manage large technical projects from concept to launch, develop and coordinate realistic project estimates, plans, or metrics; work and communicate effectively with engineering, product management, QA, operations and other stakeholders.
• Understand Google Geo products, internal tools, processes and data schema and leverage those to push automation and increase work efficiency and automation.
• Develop technical solutions that help automate and improve operational efficiencies.
• Leverage technical acumen and developer skills to analyze trends in date, develop data pipeline improvements and elegant technical solutions.
• Build scalable and intelligent technical and operational solutions to produce large volumes of high quality data that powers Google Maps.
