Job summary

ChargePoint is seeking a Senior Security Program Manager in India to lead cross-functional security initiatives and AI governance across IT, security, and infrastructure teams. You will coordinate with global stakeholders, drive program governance, and manage risk across multiple domains.

The role requires 8+ years in cyber security initiatives, strong communication with leadership, and ability to work across time zones in a remote-friendly setup.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain program roadmaps, timelines, and deliverables across IT-InfoSec and AI initiatives.
• Create program charters, define roles and timelines, develop communication strategies, and define success metrics for security and AI initiatives.
• Maintain visibility across risk areas and dependencies with high-quality outcomes across the organization.
• Facilitate collaboration and communicate status, risks, trade-offs, and decisions clearly to stakeholders.
• Manage security control rollouts and migrations requiring careful change management across organizations.
• Maintain structured communication across program stakeholders.
• Identify operational gaps and propose solutions for improvement.

What You Will Be Doing

• Develop andmaintainprogramroadmaps, timelines, and deliverables, ensuring effective coordination within IT-InfoSec team, AIinitiativesand cross-functional teams.
• Create program charters,establishroles and timelines, develop communication strategies, and define success metrics for security and AI initiatives
• Create andmaintainprogram-level visibility across risk areas, security milestones, and cross-org dependencies—ensuring outcomes are delivered reliably and at high quality.
• Facilitate collaborationandCommunicate status, risks,trade-offs, and decisions clearly to stakeholders and drive cross-functional execution with urgency and care.
• Manage security control rollouts and migrations, like endpoint hardening, centralised networking etc,that require careful change management across organizations.
• Maintain structured communication across program stakeholders
• Identifyoperational gaps and opportunities for improvementand propose solutions to implement.
• Improve processes that support security program execution
• Assistin defining program milestones and success criteria

What You Will Bring to ChargePoint

• Strongtrack recordcoordinating business, IT, security, infrastructure, andengineering teams.
• Experience driving program governance, RAID management, dependency tracking, and program status reporting.
• Experience withat least one of thedomain:GRC,Application Security, Vulnerability Management, Incident Response,DevSecOps, Cloud Security, Product Security, AI governance, ITSM.
• Experience with creating OKR and business aligned dashboards for leadership visibility
• Experience with project management tools like Jira, Confluence, Notion, etc.
• Have experience driving cross-functional projects, building longer-running programs, and interfacing with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Demonstrated capability to work effectively in global, cross-functional teams and collaborative environmentsacrosstimezones.
• Ability to navigate complex stakeholder environments, ensuring effective communication between technical and non-technical teams.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience, including Project execution experience in cyber security- related initiatives.
• Self-motivated,structured, results-driven; capable of setting priorities and managing time effectively in demanding settings.
• Experience communicating andrepresentingwork to leadership, framing discussions to gain valuable feedback, and experience working with technical management teams to develop systems, solutions, and products.
• Experience applying AI tools and automation platforms (e.g., Copilot, Claude, Notion AI, or similar) to enhance program management workflows such as meeting summarization, dependency tracking, and automated reporting.
• CISM, PMP,PgMP, CSM, ACSM orSAFecertification is plus
• Have strong interpersonal skills that enable you to influence without authority, build cross-organizational support, cooperation and action around security initiatives,policiesand procedures.
