Job summary

Candescent is seeking a Technical Program Manager to lead cross-functional technical initiatives and ensure alignment between engineering deliverables and business objectives. You will plan, track, and deliver high-impact programs spanning multiple teams and technologies.

Responsibilities include defining scope, timelines, risk mitigation, and stakeholder communication, while promoting scalable processes and best practices across the organization.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • 5+ years of experience in technical program management in software/cloud environments.
  • Strong understanding of SDLC, Agile, and DevOps practices.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience with Jira, Asana, Confluence is a plus.

Job Summary

As a Technical Program Manager at Candescent, you will lead cross-functional technical initiatives, manage program execution, and ensure alignment between engineering deliverables and business objectives. You’ll be responsible for planning, tracking, and delivering high-impact programs that span multiple teams and technologies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the planning and execution of complex technical programs across engineering, and product teams.
  • Define program scope, goals, success metrics, and deliverables in collaboration with stakeholders.
  • Develop and maintain detailed program schedules, risk assessments, and mitigation plans.
  • Drive alignment across teams by identifying dependencies, resolving blockers, and ensuring timely delivery.
  • Communicate program status, risks, and decisions to senior leadership and stakeholders.
  • Foster continuous improvement by introducing scalable processes, tools, and best practices.
  • Ensure compliance with internal standards and external regulations.
  • Support technical decision-making and provide guidance on architecture, integration, and deployment strategies.
  • Champion a culture of accountability, transparency, and innovation.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field (Master’s or MBA is a plus).
  • 5+ years of experience in technical program management, preferably in a software or cloud-based environment.
  • Proven track record of managing large-scale, cross-functional technical programs.
  • Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC), Agile methodologies, and DevOps practices.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience with project management tools (e.g., Jira, Asana, Confluence).
  • Ability to analyze complex technical problems and propose effective solutions.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), microservices architecture, and modern development frameworks.
Preferred Qualifications
  • PMP, Scrum Master, or equivalent certification.
  • Technical background in software engineering or systems architecture.
  • Experience working in a startup or high-growth environment.
