Job summary

Hero Fincorp is seeking an experienced Property Valuation Specialist to assess mortgage collateral, inspect properties, and prepare technical valuation reports. The role involves ensuring compliance with local regulations, coordinating with valuation agencies, and advising credit teams on property-related risks.

Excellent communication and knowledge of real estate markets are essential. The ideal candidate has 2-6 years of relevant Bank/NBFC experience in mortgage loans and proficiency with MS

Qualifications

• 2-6 years of relevant experience with a Bank/NBFC in mortgage loans.
• Experience in technical evaluation and valuation of secured properties is preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English and local language(s).

Responsibilities

• Conduct technical evaluation of residential, commercial, and industrial properties offered as collateral for mortgage loans.
• Prepare and review technical valuation reports with respect to valuation amounts, property rates, collateral acceptability, and marketability.
• Visit properties for inspection and preparation of technical and valuation reports.
• Assess properties for compliance with local building bye-laws, approved sanction plans, construction quality, and identify any demolition or regulatory risks.
• Highlight deviations from approved plans and provide recommendations on acceptability of properties as loan collateral.
• Coordinate with empaneled valuation agencies and vendors to resolve discrepancies in valuation reports and property assessments.
• Provide technical inputs and recommendations to credit teams and approving authorities regarding property-related risks and valuation concerns.
• Develop market intelligence through regular interactions with valuers, brokers, developers, and local market participants to understand fair market values and real estate trends.
• Ensure adherence to internal policies, processes, and regulatory guidelines related to technical evaluation and property assessment.
• Maintain accurate documentation and timely completion of technical appraisal activities within defined turnaround times.

Work Experience

2-6 years of relevant experience with a Bank/NBFC in mortgage loans
