WSP Civil & Bridge Engineering team is seeking an Associate- Bridges to be part of this established and experienced team working on exciting large-scale projects. Due to recent successes, the team is growing and offers excellent opportunities for the right candidates seeking new and exciting opportunities. The successful candidate will form part of an existing team to lead and manage a team for delivering challenging projects with desired quality and within the agreed time schedule.

Responsibilities

• Lead, manage and deliver more complex and larger projects, ensuring desired quality and adherence to agreed schedules.
• Take accountability for project delivery.
• Drive and improve levels of professional qualification and membership with relevant bodies within the CBE iCRC.
• Create and support innovation, providing clarity and direction for staff on technical issues.
• Inspire and motivate staff toward technical progression and excellence.
• Build an inclusive staff culture.
• Drive improvement of professional qualification and membership within the Civil GCC.
• Provide clarity and direction for staff on technical issues.
• Promote collaboration across the wider WSP business.
• Have line management responsibilities as required.

Qualifications

• 14-24 years of experience.
• Master’s degree in Structural Engineering (preferred).
• Desirable professional qualifications: CEng, MIStructE, MICE, IStructE or ICE chartership.
• Proven working knowledge of the Design Manual for Roads and Bridges (DMRB) and Manual of Contract Documents for Highway Works (MCDHW) for structural schemes.
• Experience with Grillage, Space Frame and FEM analysis software packages such as LUSAS, MIDAS.
• Effective communication, client handling and interpersonal skills.
• Experience in design or assessment of steel, reinforced and pre‑stressed concrete structures per Euro and BS codes.
