Entity: Technology Job Family Group: IT&S Group Job Description: Technical Delivery Lead – Corporate Affairs Digital Platforms Role Profile / Job Description Role Purpose The Technical Delivery Lead is responsible for leading the technical delivery of digital platform changes, product enhancements and operational improvements across Corporate Affairs digital platforms and services. The role acts as the bridge between delivery, product, architecture, engineering, operations and business stakeholders, ensuring technical solutions are clearly defined, prioritised, delivered, tested and transitioned into support effectively. The role combines hands‑on technical delivery leadership with selected Product Owner responsibilities, including backlog refinement, requirements definition, sprint planning support, acceptance criteria, prioritisation and value realisation. This ensures delivery teams focus on the right outcomes and that solutions are secure, resilient, scalable, supportable and aligned to business needs.
Scope & Scale Area Scope Platform focus Supports one or more Corporate Affairs digital platforms, products or services, such as Brand Portal, global web, campaign, content, analytics or operational support capabilities. Technical delivery Leads technical delivery across releases, enhancements, integrations, operational improvements and service transition activities. Product ownership Owns or supports backlog management, story refinement, prioritisation, acceptance criteria and value‑based delivery decisions. Team coordination Coordinates engineering, architecture, QA, security, privacy, operations, supplier and business teams to deliver agreed outcomes. Operational readiness Ensures solutions are production‑ready, supportable and aligned to non‑functional requirements, governance and operating model expectations.
Lead technical delivery of platform changes, product enhancements, integrations and operational improvements.
Coordinate developers, architects, QA, infrastructure, security, privacy, analytics, support teams and suppliers.
Ensure technical work are clearly defined, sequenced, estimated, delivered, tested and released.
Identify and manage technical dependencies, risks, blockers, assumptions and decisions.
Support release planning, deployment readiness, service transition and post‑launch stabilisation.
Ensure solutions align to architecture, security, privacy, accessibility and operational standards.
Define, refine and maintain the technical backlog in partnership with Product Managers, Delivery Managers and business partners.
Translate business outcomes into clear epics, features, user stories and acceptance criteria.
Prioritise backlog items based on business value, technical risk, compliance needs, dependencies and delivery capacity.
Support sprint planning, backlog refinement, retrospectives, demos and delivery reviews.
Review and accept completed technical work against agreed acceptance criteria.
Ensure delivered features provide measurable value and align to platform standards and user needs.
Work with business, product and technical stakeholders to clarify requirements and desired outcomes.
Break down complex technical and business needs into structured, testable delivery items.
Surface assumptions, constraints, risks and dependencies before development begins.
Support discovery, solution options, impact assessments and technical feasibility reviews.
Maintain clear user documentation, decision logs and delivery artefacts.
Ensure platforms and services are technically ready for production use and BAU support.
Coordinate non‑functional requirements across performance, resilience, security, monitoring, observability, accessibility and supportability.
Support operating models, support processes, knowledge articles, runbooks and handover documentation.
Work with support teams to ensure incidents, problems, service requests and enhancements are handled optimally.
Drive technical improvements that reduce operational risk, improve service quality and increase automation.
Act as the technical delivery point of contact for assigned platforms, products or workstreams.
Coordinate internal teams, supplier resources and third‑party vendors to maintain delivery momentum.
Communicate progress, risks, issues and decisions clearly to Delivery Managers, Product Managers and customers.
Facilitate technical discussions, unblock delivery issues and advance material risks where required.
Help ensure supplier delivery meets agreed quality, governance and operational expectations.
Provide hands‑on technical delivery leadership across multidisciplinary teams. Bring structure, clarity and accountability to technical delivery activities. Collaborate closely with Product Managers, Delivery Managers, Architects, Engineers and Support teams. Balance business value, technical quality, delivery pace and operational resilience. Promote strong engineering rigor, agile ways of working and continuous improvement.
Experience leading technical delivery across digital platforms, CMS, web, content, brand, campaign or enterprise technology services.
Solid understanding of Agile delivery, backlog management, sprint planning, release management and service transition.
Ability to translate business needs into clear technical requirements, user stories and acceptance criteria.
Experience coordinating developers, architects, QA, infrastructure, security, privacy, operations and supplier teams.
Good understanding of non‑functional requirements, including performance, resilience, availability, accessibility, monitoring and supportability.
Experience with third‑party suppliers, handled service teams and enterprise governance standards.
Desirable experience with Contentful, MACH architecture, headless CMS, Azure DevOps, automation, analytics or AI‑enabled platform capabilities.
Delivery of agreed technical roadmap items, releases and enhancements to expected scope, quality and timeline.
Clear, prioritised and well‑maintained backlog with strong user stories and acceptance criteria.
Effective sprint planning, refinement, dependency management and technical delivery coordination.
Secure, resilient, supportable and production‑ready technical solutions.
Reduced technical risk, improved operational performance and stronger support readiness.
Strong customer confidence in technical delivery quality, transparency and decision‑making.
