Job summary

o9 Solutions Management India Private Limited is seeking a Technical Consultant – Client Success (Data Engineer) in Bengaluru. You will support customers post-implementation, ensuring stable operations, data integrity, and reliable batch processing across DevOps and customer teams.

You will transform and manage customer data using SQL, SSIS, NiFi, Hadoop, PySpark and Hive, build automation scripts, and contribute to CI/CD improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Supply Chain, Operations Research, Statistics, or related quantitative field.
• Bachelor/Master preferred for advanced positions.
• Strong proficiency in Python and SQL with data engineering experience.
• Experience with ETL tools and scripting languages is desirable.
• Exposure to cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.

• Support post-implementation customers ensuring stable platform operations.

About the role

We are looking for a highly motivated and technically strong Technical Consultant – Client Success to join our team. In this role, you will support o9 customers post-implementation, ensuring seamless platform operations, strong customer outcomes, and high system reliability. You will play a critical role in managing automated batch processes, troubleshooting issues, and collaborating across Support, DevOps, Product, and Customer teams to deliver a stable and scalable solution environment.

What you will do in this role:

• Ensure timely response, recovery, and resolution of batch automation disruptions while meeting customer SLAs
• Monitor and maintain smooth operations of o9’s cloud-based platform
• Work closely with DevOps and Support teams to troubleshoot and resolve system issues
• Validate, transform, and manage customer data using tools like SQL, SSIS, Excel, Apache NiFi, Hadoop, PySpark, and Hive
• Analyze customer data, understand functional/technical dependencies, and ensure data integrity
• Support CI/CD processes and improve system reliability
• Monitor and analyze system performance metrics for continuous improvement
• Develop automation scripts using Python, Bash, or PowerShell
• Understand and work with o9 platform data models (tables, relationships, optimization structures)
• Fine-tune performance, automate manual processes, and implement system checks
• Create and execute integration test cases; track and resolve bugs/issues

What you’ll have

1-5 years of relevant experience in technical consulting, support, or similar roles Strong proficiency in Python and SQL Hands-on experience with ETL tools like SSIS Experience with scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell Exposure to cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud (preferred) Experience with planning tools such as SAP, Oracle, e2open, Kinaxis, JDA (preferred) Knowledge of data processing tools like Hadoop, PySpark, Hive (preferred) Familiarity with statistical/optimization tools (R/Python/JavaScript) is a plus Strong analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills Ability to take ownership and work independently with minimal supervision Good understanding of system performance tuning and automation
