Job summary

Kyndryl is seeking a Power Platform Migration Engineer to execute runbooks migrating assets between tenants, including exports/imports, mapping, and post-migration validation. This role operates in a 24x7 factory model with emphasis on reliable execution and traceable evidence.

You will reconfigure connections, verify apps and flows, perform smoke tests, and document outcomes with high-quality ticketing and escalation when needed.

Qualifications

The Role

As a Power Platform Migration Engineer, you will execute runbooks to migrate Power Platform assets between tenants, completing preparation steps, performing controlled migrations and validating outcomes. You will handle repeatable tasks (exports/imports, mapping files, connection reconfiguration, enabling flows, smoke testing) whilst maintaining high standards in ticket updates and evidence capture. This role sits within a 24x7 factory model and is measured on reliable execution, low defect rates and rapid, structured remediation.

Key Responsibilities

• Execute Power Platform migration runbooks for assigned scope: export/import solutions and apps, prepare flows and complete post-migration configuration steps.
• Reconfigure connection references and environment settings post-migration; verify functional operation of apps and flows.
• Run smoke tests and basic functional validation; record outcomes and evidence.
• Triage and resolve standard issues using playbooks (permissions, missing connectors, broken references, disabled flows).
• Maintain high-quality ticket hygiene: status, actions taken, outcomes and evidence attachments.
• Escalate complex defects with complete diagnostic detail and reproduction steps.
• Contribute to shift handovers with clear, actionable notes and transparent risk statements.
• Support reporting on throughput, defect categories and recurring issues for continuous improvement.

Required Skills and Experience

Minimum 7 years exp required

• Delivered production tenant-to-tenant Power Platform migration execution work (hands-on), within your specialism.
• Strong working knowledge of Power Apps and Power Automate build and operational concepts, including solutions and connection references.
• Hands-on experience performing export/import and reconfiguration steps; confident with admin tooling and repeatable execution.
• Strong runbook discipline and evidence capture habits suitable for audit and governance expectations.
• Comfortable working in a shift model with handovers and queue/backlog execution.
• Clear technical documentation skills: concise notes, structured escalation inputs and repeatable updates.
• Client-professional mindset: secure handling of access and sensitive operational data.

This role operates within a three-shift 24x7 Factory model. The specific rota will be confirmed, but shift handovers are mandatory and performance is measured on shift outcomes. Peak cutover windows may require schedule flexibility. Consistent, process-driven execution with high attention to detail. Proactive in raising dependency issues (identity, connectors, permissions) early. Clear communicator in tickets and handovers; minimises ambiguity. Works collaboratively across shifts; leaves work in a clean state for the next team. Adapts quickly as runbooks evolve and iterates delivery habits accordingly.

Preferred Skills and Experience

• Dataverse familiarity (tables, security roles, environment configuration considerations).
• Microsoft certifications (examples: PL-200 / PL-400) or equivalent.
• Experience with Power Platform ALM practices (pipelines, source control, environment strategies).
• Experience supporting cutovers/hypercare for large user populations.
