Job summary

Blue Yonder Bangalore seeks a software engineer with 3–5 years of experience in Java, ExtJS and PLSQL to develop mods and uplift code as per designs. You will align tasks with BY WMS guidelines, review code, and participate in deployments across customer time zones.

You will work in an Agile environment, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and provide technical guidance while delivering high-quality software and documentation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in CS/Engineering or related fields.
• Total Experience: 3–5 years.
• Strong expertise in Java, ExtJS and PLSQL.
• Experience with Blue Yonder/JDA WMS or similar systems is a plus.
• Experience in test management and test execution.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies.
• Proficiency with AI tools (Cursor AI, Replit AI, GitHub, Copilot).
• Knowledge of GUI and database tools (SQL Developer, SSMS).
• Experience with GitHub, Jenkins and CI/CD.

Our current technical environment:

• Software: Core Java, PLSQL and Extjs

What you’ll do:

• Understand business objectives and develop mods based on the requirement.
• Develop the Mods and Perform Custom Code Uplift based on Technical Design Documents provided by the Leads.
• Align Development and review tasks with Blue Yonder BY WMS Guidelines.
• Ensure all deliverables, including code and documentation, undergo peer reviews.
• Perform risk assessments, prepare quotes, and define high-level functional and technical approaches for new software changes based on alignment with Dev Lead.
• Investigate, triage, and resolve defects and issues, providing code fixes and unit testing in compliance with defined SLAs.
• Provide on-site or remote support for go-live activities, dry runs, testing, and other deployment related needs and work during customer time zones.
• Coordinate and deliver product or solution demonstrations to clients.

What we are looking for:

• Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in Computer Science or Engineering or other relevant disciplines (MCA, MSc in Computer Science etc.)
• Total Experience - 3 yrs to 5 yrs
• Strong expertise in Java, ExtJS, PLSQL
• Prior experience with Blue Yonder / JDA / Red Prairie WMS or other WMS platforms is an added advantage.
• Experience in test management and test execution.
• Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.
• Use of AI Tools-Cursor AI, Replit AI, GitHub, Copilot
• In-depth knowledge of software development best practices, build processes, IDEs, and database tools (e.g., SQL Developer, SQL Management Studio).
• Strong experience with source code control systems such as GitHub, Jenkins...
• Proficiency in working with Windows, Linux, and Unix operating systems, including command line usage.
• Working knowledge of JIRA for issue and project tracking.
• Ability to evaluate competing solutions and make informed decisions to achieve optimal outcomes.
• Willingness to take ownership of end-to-end project delivery and provide technical guidance to assigned engineers.
• Confidence in making suggestions and recommendations for continuous improvement.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to build strong professional relationships.
• Strong collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams and ensure seamless information flow.
• Proactively seeks assistance and feedback when appropriate to improve outcomes.
