Job summary

Swiss Re is seeking a seasoned Technical Business Analyst to bridge business needs with SAP-based FPSL for IFRS 17 reporting. Qualifications

• University degree in a technical, financial, or business discipline.
• 8+ years of experience as a Business Analyst in IT within complex enterprise environments.
• 3+ years of hands-on FPSL systems experience, IFRS 17 knowledge.
• Strong SQL and advanced Excel skills.
• Proven experience delivering product changes end-to-end with ownership.

About the Role

As aTechnical Business Analyst, you will sit at the heart of our global financial closing ecosystem, acting as the critical bridge between business stakeholders and our SAP-based platform. You will not only maintain and enhance a sophisticated financial subledger solution, but you will also champion simplicity, standardization, and innovation. From shaping new functionality to validating, it through rigorous testing and live production runs, your fingerprints will be on every improvement we make. You'll engage continuously with a global user community — educating, aligning, and supporting teams across time zones and disciplines.

Key Responsibilities

About the Team

TheFPSL Subledger Liabilityteam is an international product team made up of experienced professionals with diverse and complementary backgrounds. We provide the platform that enables global and local financial closings under IFRS for (re)insurance contracts. At the core of this platform is a robust SAP solution, embedded within an evolving technology landscape that enriches our data and ultimately produces financial statements for the quarterly finance closing process. We are a collaborative, forward-thinking team that values expertise, curiosity, and a shared commitment to excellence.

About You

We are looking for candidates who meet these requirements:

• University degreein a technical, financial, or business discipline (or comparable qualification/experience)
• 8+ years of experienceas a Business Analyst working with IT systems in complex, enterprise environments
• 3+ years of hands-on experience with FPSL systems, including solid knowledge ofIFRS 17and its application in (re)insurance financial reporting
• Good working knowledge of SQLand the MS Office suite, including advanced Excel skills
• Proven experience delivering product changes and operations with end-to-end ownership, including requirements analysis, testing, process standardization, optimization, and documentation

These are additional nice to haves:

• Basic knowledge of accounting and financial reportingprinciples, enabling effective communication with finance stakeholders
• Willingness and ability to learn a scripting languagefor formulating and automating test cases
• Exposure to Agile delivery methodologies, including experience with Azure DevOps (ADO) for backlog management and sprint planning
• Experience working in global, cross-functional teamsacross multiple time zones and cultures
• A continuous improvement mindset with the drive to proactively identify and implement enhancements to both processes and systems

Our company has a hybrid work model where the expectation is that you will be in the office at least three days per week.
