Anchanto is seeking an experienced Technical Architect to lead the strategic technical direction for OXM and OMS. You will own system architecture, ensure scalability, reliability, and AI-driven integration across platforms, acting as the primary technical authority and guiding engineering standards.

As a hands-on leader, you will review designs, assess code quality, manage incidents, and drive architectural excellence while aligning with business needs and global expansion.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience with Node.js for high-throughput APIs and event-driven microservices.
• Strong knowledge of Ruby on Rails, MVC, ActiveRecord, background jobs (Sidekiq), API design, and tuning.
• Hands-on AWS experience: EC2, SQS, SNS, EventBridge, Lambda, ECS/EKS, Aurora/PostgreSQL, DynamoDB, Redis, S3, API Gateway, CloudWatch.
• Deep understanding of multi-tenant architectures, idempotency, retry, backpressure, failure isolation, and distributed transactions.
• Proven track record of achieving 99.9%+ uptime and sub-200ms P95 latency for critical ops.
• Experience designing RESTful and GraphQL APIs with contract testing and versioning.
• Database optimization for MySQL, PostgreSQL, Aurora, DynamoDB, Redis.
• Experience with AI tooling that accelerates SDLC workflows.
• Security practices: SAST/DAST, secret scanning, OWASP Top 10, threat modeling.

We are seeking an experienced Technical Architect to lead the strategic technical direction for Anchanto's two flagship platforms: Order Experience Management (OXM) and Order Management System (OMS). As a senior individual contributor, you will assume full accountability for system architecture, ensuring scalability, reliability, and the seamless integration of AI-driven capabilities. This role demands a hands-on leader who acts as the primary technical authority, guiding engineering standards and fostering a culture of innovation. You will actively participate in design reviews, code assessments, and incident management, leveraging artificial intelligence to enhance the software development lifecycle and drive superior product quality as the organization expands its global footprint.

Responsibilities

• Architectural Leadership: Direct the end-to-end design of OXM and OMS, establishing integration patterns and ensuring both platforms evolve in harmony with shifting business needs.
  
• Distributed Systems Design: Architect robust, event-driven, and distributed systems that guarantee high availability, fault tolerance, multi-tenant security, and idempotency within the AWS ecosystem (including SQS, SNS, EventBridge, Lambda, ECS/EKS, Aurora, DynamoDB, and Redis).
  
• AI Integration: Define the technical framework for embedding AI capabilities such as intelligent order routing, anomaly detection, demand forecasting, and agentic workflows, ensuring they meet rigorous enterprise standards for security, reliability, and cost-efficiency.
  
• Engineering Collaboration: Partner closely with Engineering Managers and Tech Leads to translate product visions into actionable technical blueprints, removing design bottlenecks and providing clear architectural guidance prior to development.
  
• Integration Standards: Establish and enforce cross-platform integration protocols, including API versioning, contract testing, rate limiting, and deprecation strategies to ensure seamless interoperability between OXM, OMS, and third-party services.
  
• Operational Excellence: Drive engineering productivity by identifying and eliminating architectural inefficiencies, reducing system complexity, and optimizing DORA metrics through superior system design.
  

Requirements

Requirements:

• Node.js Mastery: Extensive experience with Node.js, specifically in building high-throughput APIs, managing asynchronous processing, and scaling event-driven microservices.
  
• Ruby on Rails Proficiency: Strong working knowledge of Ruby on Rails, including MVC architecture, ActiveRecord, background job processing (Sidekiq), API design, and performance tuning.
  
• Cloud Infrastructure Expertise: Proven hands-on experience with AWS services such as EC2, SQS, SNS, EventBridge, Lambda, ECS/EKS, Aurora/PostgreSQL, DynamoDB, ElastiCache/Redis, S3, API Gateway, and CloudWatch.
  
• System Design Acumen: Deep understanding of multi-tenant architectures, idempotency patterns, retry mechanisms, backpressure handling, failure isolation, and distributed transaction management.
  
• Performance Track Record: Demonstrated history of designing and maintaining systems that achieve 99.9%+ uptime and maintain sub-200ms P95 latency for critical operations.
  
• API Architecture: Expertise in designing RESTful and GraphQL APIs, implementing contract testing, managing versioning, and ensuring robust integration reliability.
  
• Database Optimization: Advanced skills in MySQL, PostgreSQL, Aurora, DynamoDB, and Redis, with a focus on query optimization, indexing strategies, and schema design for high-volume workloads.
  
• AI Tooling Familiarity: Experience leveraging AI coding assistants like Claude Code, Cursor, and Copilot to accelerate development and enhance productivity within the SDLC.
  
• Security Compliance: Solid understanding of secure software development practices, including SAST/DAST, secret scanning, dependency auditing, OWASP Top 10 standards, and threat modeling.
