Job summary

Genpact is seeking a Technical Architect to translate business needs into scalable technology solutions and guide AI-first initiatives. You will mentor teams, drive security and performance standards, and oversee architecture across the software development lifecycle.

You will collaborate with EA peers and stakeholders, define migration plans, and evaluate new technologies to support enterprise goals in a fast-moving, innovation-driven environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degrees in Computer Engineering, Computer Science or Information Technology.
• Masters degrees or certifications in information systems, software engineering, and security/architecture domains.
• Industry certifications listed: AWS Solutions Architect, CISSP, CKA, TOGAF, Riversand Data Management.

Responsibilities

• Understand technology trends and practical applications to enable new and evolving business models.
• Drive digital innovation by applying new technologies to renovate and transform IT estate.
• Define high-level migration plans aligning with budgeting and capital planning.
• Own analysis of current technology environment to identify deficiencies and suggest improvements.
• Coach and mentor EA peers to develop technology architecture enabling new business capabilities.
• Assist in governance, standards, and assurance activities for enterprise technology architecture.
• Oversee implementation and integration of architecture across SDLC and advise on enterprise tech alignment.
• Document architecture designs and metrics to measure enterprise value.
• Develop designs and collaborate with stakeholders to translate business needs into requirements.
• Evaluate technologies and tools to support architecture and ensure security and performance.
• Lead research and selection of hardware/software standards and configurations.
• Identify organizational and financial impact of architecture changes.

Job Description

• Understand technology trends and the practical application to enable new and evolving business and operating models.
• Drive digital innovation by using innovative new technologies and approaches to renovate, extend, and transform the existing core technology base and IT estate.
• Define high-level migration plans to address the gaps between the current and future state, typically in sync with the IT budgeting or other capital planning processes.
• Own the analysis of the current technology environment to detect critical deficiencies and recommend solutions for improvement.
• Coach, mentor and collaborate with technical domain specialists and EA peers to develop technology architecture that enables and drives new business capabilities
• Assist with designing the governance, assurance and standards activities associated with ensuring enterprise technology architecture compliance.
• Oversee, or consult on, technology implementation and modification activities (for example, projects), particularly for new or shared infrastructure solutions. Consult on application or infrastructure development projects to harmonize systems or infrastructure with the enterprise technology architecture, and identify when it is necessary to modify the enterprise technical architecture (ETA) to accommodate immediate or future project needs.
• Lead all aspects of and facilitate the research, evaluation, and selection of hardware and software technology and product standards, as well as the design of standard configurations.
• Identify the organizational impact (for example, on skills, processes, structures and culture) and financial impact of the enterprise technology architecture.
• Document necessary enterprise technology architecture design and analysis work, possibly including project postmortem documentation and metric collection.
• Help the enterprise architect define metrics to measure and demonstrate enterprise technology value.
• Understand, advocate, and augment the business and IT strategies — and, more specifically, EA development and service delivery. Be prepared to "sell" the EA process (overall, not just for enterprise technology architecture), its outcome and ongoing results, and to lead the communication or marketing activities needed to ensure enterprise success and use
• Develop technical architecture designs and solutions;
• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into technical requirements;
• Evaluate and recommend technologies, tools, and frameworks to support the architecture;
• Ensure the technical architecture aligns with security and performance requirements;
• Lead the implementation and integration of the technical architecture across the software development lifecycle;
• Provide guidance and support to development teams on architectural best practices;
• Conduct regular reviews and assessments to ensure the architecture meets evolving business needs and technological advancements.
