Job summary

ITC Infotech Bengaluru seeks a Senior Android Developer to design and build cutting-edge consumer internet applications using Java or Kotlin. You will implement modern UI with Jetpack Compose, ensure excellent performance, and focus on scalability.

You will collaborate with UX/UI, product, and QA to deliver high-quality features, implement offline-first architecture with Room/SQLite, and integrate Firebase. Proficiency with RESTful APIs, GraphQL, and CI/CD is required.

We are looking for a highly skilled Sr. Android Developer to design and build cutting-edge consumer internet applications. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in native Android development using Java or Kotlin, strong knowledge of modern UI frameworks, and a proven ability to optimise performance and deliver exceptional user experiences.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain native Android applications with a focus on scalability, performance, and usability.
• Implement modern UI frameworks such as Jetpack Compose, Material Design, and adhere to Android UI design principles and best practices.
• Optimise application performance through profiling, benchmarking, memory management, and efficient coding practices.
• Build robust offline-first features, including caching, local data storage SQLite, Room DB, and synchronisation strategies.
• Integrate Firebase services for push notifications, crash analytics, performance monitoring, and remote configuration.
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including UXUI designers, product managers, and QA engineers to deliver high-quality features.
• Maintain unit tests, ensure code quality, and follow best practices for continuous integration and deployment.
• Implement RESTful APIs and GraphQL for seamless data exchange.
• Work with multi-threading, concurrency, and device sensors to build responsive and feature-rich applications.
• Stay updated with the latest Android trends, tools, and libraries to drive innovation.

Required Skills

• Experience Minimum 5 years of hands‑on experience in native Android development using Java and Kotlin.
• Strong understanding of Android architecture components ViewModel, LiveData, Navigation, WorkManager.
• Expertise in Jetpack Compose and modern UI development.
• Solid knowledge of performance tuning, profiling tools, and optimisation techniques.
• Experience with Firebase services Push Notifications, Crashlytics, Performance Monitoring.
• Familiarity with RESTful APIs and GraphQL.
• Strong knowledge of Android UI design principles, Material Design, and best practices.
• Proficiency in multi-threading, asynchronous programming Coroutines, RxJava, and handling device sensors.
• Experience with offline-first architecture, data caching, and local storage SQLite, Room DB.
• Prior experience in building consumer internet applications at scale. Proficiency in version control systems Git and CICD pipelines.
• Knowledge of dependency injection frameworks DaggerHilt.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with modular architecture and multi-module projects. Knowledge of security best practices in Android development.
• Exposure to analytics tools, AB testing, and feature flagging.
• Familiarity with cloud services Firebase, AWS, GCP.

Education

• Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
