Job summary

HDFC Bank in Bengaluru is seeking a Software Engineer-Backend to build, publish, and secure cloud-native microservices. You will work across enterprise environments in a large-scale program, delivering REST APIs with a focus on performance and reliability.

You will collaborate in an agile DevSecOps setup, translate user stories into technical solutions, and apply patterns like CQRS and event-driven architectures to ensure high availability.

Qualifications

• 2-6 years of backend development experience in cloud-native microservices.
• Experience with REST APIs, DDD & TDD principles.
• Proficient with Java, Spring Boot, or Node.js.
• Experience in DevSecOps and cloud environments.

Responsibilities

• Develop cloud native microservices per DDD & TDD architecture principles with REST API development.
• Deliver in an agile development process within a DevSecOps environment.
• Design services using sound principles of application, data, and infrastructure to be performant, resilient, and highly available.
• Create, maintain, test, and debug the entire back end of an application or system in interaction with other engineering and testing teams.
• Translate user stories into technical solutions that perform at large scale.
• Design, develop, test, and implement services to support business functions.
• Implement appropriate design patterns of a services-oriented architecture: Saga, CB, CQRS, event driven.
• Adopt best practices to implement reliability measures: HA, fault tolerance.
• Adopt best practices to implement consistency measures: timeouts, retries, pessimistic locking.
• Deploy deliverables in cloud environments with advanced monitoring and debugging/tracing capabilities.
