Staff SDET – Automation & DevOps Lead
Role Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Staff Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) – Automation & DevOps Lead to drive quality engineering excellence across the software development lifecycle. This role combines advanced test automation expertise, DevOps leadership, CI/CD enablement, quality strategy, and engineering best practices to ensure high-quality, scalable, and reliable software delivery.

The ideal candidate will lead test automation initiatives, establish quality standards, optimize DevOps processes, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to accelerate product releases while maintaining exceptional quality.

Key Responsibilities
Quality Engineering & Test Automation
  • Define and implement enterprise-wide test automation strategies.
  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable automation frameworks for Web, API, Mobile, and Backend applications.
  • Drive adoption of shift-left testing practices and quality engineering principles.
  • Develop automated functional, regression, integration, performance, and security testing solutions.
  • Continuously improve test coverage, execution efficiency, and reporting mechanisms.
  • Establish quality metrics, KPIs, and dashboards.
DevOps & CI/CD Leadership
  • Design and optimize CI/CD pipelines using modern DevOps tools and practices.
  • Integrate automated testing into build and release pipelines.
  • Lead Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) implementation and deployment automation.
  • Improve release reliability, deployment frequency, and operational efficiency.
  • Collaborate with development, cloud, and operations teams to streamline delivery processes.
  • Support containerization and orchestration initiatives using Docker and Kubernetes.
Technical Leadership
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to SDETs, QA Engineers, and DevOps engineers.
  • Conduct architecture reviews focused on testability, scalability, and reliability.
  • Define engineering best practices and quality standards.
  • Lead root cause analysis and defect prevention initiatives.
  • Drive innovation through adoption of emerging testing and DevOps technologies.
Stakeholder Management
  • Partner with Product Managers, Architects, Engineering Leaders, and Business Stakeholders.
  • Present quality metrics, release readiness assessments, and risk analyses.
  • Influence engineering teams to adopt automation-first and DevOps-driven practices.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
  • 8+ years of experience in Software Testing, Test Automation, or Quality Engineering.
  • 3+ years in a Technical Lead, Staff Engineer, or Engineering Leadership role.
